I picked up this lad a few days ago and spiral'd him (although the coatl temptation was far too high.) Now one of my more expensive dragons has sold so I have some gems to get him gened up.
Problem is, he looks good in so many different scries, I am totally stuck! I want to try and stay monochrome, or as monochrome as possible.

Feel free to throw any other ideas at me. I am going for a "i am the night, be afraid of me" tiny snake dragon vibes.
I'm leaning towards Pytho/Morph/Glimmer--the python eyemask and horns really draw out the eyes.
Looking at other terts, I actually like spines?

The grey-range gives it a 'serrated blade' feel, and the pose works well for the 'dont get close to me [i]hiss[/i]' reaction for his hackles being raised.
(btw @Pups, I've been away for a while. Could you tell me what the name of your Vista is/where it's obtained?)

Marmol I do agree, its the temptation of "i could make him fancier genes wise" vs "yeah but he looks better with what he already has" I do like the spines for the whole pointy pointy vibes. But I quite like the idea of him thinking he is scary, when really he is a big soft noodle. I may look at other terts with it though to make the horns less blue(?) maybe stained, or something hmm
Its Boreal Woods II and ill send you a copy, I have a spare and its cheap as :) don't feel pressured to use it, I don't care either way :D

honestly, no matter what you do with him, hes going to look gorgeous. if you really wanna go for the spooky vibe i think #4 is probably best, but i also really like Marmols suggestion of py/morph/okapi!

Thankyou both i think I agree on the Python. It gives the darkest vibes with some nice white outlines, plus the wings match colour wise so well ;u;
I do love how dark the metallic is, its just the wings that don't quite match.
I think I will leave him as python morph for now ^^

I would go with the first, because I love Thylacine on spirals. The scale effect over the body and tail, the dark eyes - it looks plenty spooky on him.
