Facet is a decent gene, but it's not really working for me here. Here's a scry of him with Current instead, which I think looks a little better.

Yeah I'd change to current. Aside from the lines on current resembling the pattern on scales, the darkening wing tips also match the darkening gradient of scales on the mouth and bottoms of the legs.

I thought so too! Definitely dulls the wings enough without necessarily going for Basic. Also, it makes the wings look a bit like leaves that way, and Fission was somewhat plant-inspired.

I prefer the current too, although I am biased in that I almost never like facet to begin with. But it does match the tert better!

I think the color of current matches the color of scales better than facet. Facet makes the green too light

I definitely think changing the Facet is a good idea, it does draw too much attention from his face. Current looks nice!
I have also scried some others, and found that I liked Sludge and Marbled too. And I think Alloy looks best if you wanted to replace Facet with another gem gene.
