My boy Atlas aged up today, so I can finally dress him, and will get to training him up once I move out a bunch of fodder! I got him specifically to be Orion's coli partner, because it seems like there'd be some cool lore opportunities for a primal-only GW team. I'm in the process of writing up their lore (and giving Orion updated art), but I'd love to see/hear about other people's primals! I'm personally feeling that in my clan, primals are just extra connected to their element. Orion loves being a wind primal and uses their inherent understanding of wind when bowhunting, but Atlas has a little trouble reconciling his self-image with his preconceptions of nature primals and has some internalized stuff to work through before he can really embrace his heritage. Please show me your primals and tell me about their lore!

I have a Tundra primal nature boy right here. He is still technically a hatchling, but an old Dryad blessed him shortly before it died. He will grow up, having some degree of Dryad/Nature powers, and if he chooses to "bond" to a tree, will potentially have so much more power (which decreases depending on how far he is from the tree he bonds to). As for this Gaoler girl, I'm not sure yet. I'm thinking she will build her powers up over time, with her own connection to nature, and use it to help grow the clan's crops/garden as well as help keep them healthy. @Tunadan Bard's origin story is so sad, and I love his tree bonding abilities! He's so matchy too, I love him. And your girl is rocking the triple copper

@LuckOfTheClaws I love Loki, you nailed his trickster vibes! I think I remember seeing Zephyr around, she is so good

your primals are so pretty! i love the idea of a wind primal using air currents to improve their marksmanship. O: primals in my clan range from just being normal dragons who are a bit more connected to their elements than usual, to dragons blessed by the deities themselves and beings with such powerful magic that they're basically demigods and elemental spirits themselves. alma is a nature primal, but their magic channels the climate of the gladekeeper's realm more than the plants themselves. wherever they go, they're followed by heavy rains, so they travel through areas affected by drought to revitalize the landscape, then move on before their gift can turn into a curse of monsoons. melaleuca is a little lucky wind spirit. they drift around with the breezes and everything they touch seems blessed by coincidence, things coming together around them at exactly the right moment to make good things happen. nidhoggr is from a lore pair called 'corpse eaters', a plague gaoler subspecies. their plague magic gives them incredible resistance to the poisons in shade-tainted meat, so they are hired to hunt down and devour shade-touched creatures who are too dangerous to keep imprisoned by the icewarden. basically executioners, but nidhoggr wants to be a surgeon so he can hopefully learn how to remove the shade like a tumor and spare the victim it infected. @dreamlogic Alma's lore is beautiful! I was really struck by the idea of them being nomadic by necessity, rather than choice. Also they're really rocking that accent. I love Nidhoggr's adopts, and I love the idea of a plague primal being a healer. Melaleuca's bio made me chuckle and Brea is so good, and their coloring really lets their eyes shine!

Calm, carefree, and motherly, she travels to try to spread the cheer and freedom-based lifestyle of the Wind element to the rest of Sorineth, which landed her as the wind ambassador to the Watchspire. I don't have any of their lore written down yet because I'm kind of lazy when I have free time outside of work and housework, but they do kinda have lore in my head. I've only got the one primal, from the release of scattersights. Thought it would be fun to spice up some older dragons that would otherwise have common eyes and ofc my ugliest, most sentimental G1 got primal lol. There's a little blurb on her profile but the gist is that Golgari here receives debilitating prophetic visions and has chosen to avoid her "gift" as much as she can. A total recluse, she is pitied but not loved, and has come to be viewed as herald of crisis. @Snekly your primals look like such good elemental reps! Each one of them seems like a powerful being straight out of a folk tale and I absolutely love that. Boreas especially is just so gorgeous

@Theron Your robots are so good!! I'm still hoping to hatch one of my own but bossdad has not obliged yet. And those puns tho

@Encarmine With her colors and apparel, she almost looks like she should be a shadow dragon, which is honestly super cool. I love her accent!

Thank you all for showing me your kids, they're fantastic!
