She could be an astronomer who always wants to be watching the night sky. This could make her seem "spacey" to many, but is just very passionate. Maybe she channels this passion into making charts to monitor the sky and stars. She could become knowledgable about things such as weather as a result.
For outfits, maybe something like the cloaks or map-like accents.
