I'm not feeling well today, so I'd love if you guys could take my mind off of it by showing me your lore dragons and talking about them if you'd like. Feel free to ramble! I love hearing about things people are passionate about. So, tell me your dragons' stories!

i hope you feel somewhat better soon! okay you gave me the thumbs up to ramble so ramble i will. be prepared to read a chapter book. i spent six years developing these stories through roleplay characters and the time i've spent on flightrising has really helped me with world building. all of my dragons are humanoid ocs that i've moved onto here. i recently did a complete reorganization of my tabs to better fit my lore. it used to be organized by family but now it's essentially lore categories. anything that is a part of the main universe but not the main story is now in hib den (minus midas who's awaiting cooldown). basically, the lore follows one major storyline (characters under 'the slain') and the surrounding tabs either have events and characters that lead up to the main story, or are results of the main story. these were five novels that i was planning to write as time went on, but i realized that they were much better as a plethora of short stories, minus children of the slain which is actually a novel. i've written out a first draft. i. children of the wyvern the characters in this part of the lore are under 'the wyvern'. it's meant to introduce the main realm where most of the lore takes place. midea is the main realm. it's the home of the fey and split into many kingdoms/territories full of many subspecies. the largest and most powerful twelve kingdoms form the 'fey council' and basically make all executive decisions for the realm. vidreterra is not a kingdom, rather a nice land of democratic peoples that kinda just chill (the nyban). the thing is, vidreterra is right in the middle between two rival kingdoms: chrysolitus and svartalfhela. chrysolitus is an economic hub and its council representative is the head of the fey council. svartalfhela is a desert biome full of blacksmiths, miners, and fighters who are suffering because they can't thrive off their land. a mass majority of their food is imported, but it's never enough to feed the entire nation and so they demand chrysolitus to go easy on them. chrysolitus kinda sucks, though. they're racist, so they obviously don't. cue a war. vidreterra is caught in the middle and everytime there's an ongoing battle, the nyban have to flee to the northern mountains just to hope that they can survive. their land is constantly walked over and used as a battlefield because they're just not on the fey council, and therefore chrysolitus won't care about them being trampled. this is wisteria clematis. she's a nyban, as well as this story's main character. in the northern mountains while the umpteenth battle is going on, wisteria talks to her family about the possibility of change. obviously the other nyban want change, but who the hell is going to talk to the fey council about it? the nyban send wisteria and her siblings to midea's main citadel. the result? i haven't thought of it yet lol ii. children of the sun uh oh some years pass and aphaeleon xyrcan is now the head of the fey council. quite a bit of the story follows aphaeleon's kids and the 'perfect fey' ordeal. luxens (the people of chrysolitus) are quite special. the less kids they have the better. the very last kid they are able to have as a couple is called the perfect fey. this child is free of blemishes and societal imperfections. they're able-bodied and neurotypical. so, the older siblings in a bigger family will be... not "perfect". ryker for example, is blind. the war starts up again. the main characters in this part of the lore are under 'the sun'. because the war had been halted for so long, there are quite a few luxens who aren't too fond of it, including aphaeleon's kids. bellaluna is the perfect fey in the xyrcan family but also hates what her dad is doing. she's got this internal conflict going on about the path she's meant to take in life, versus the one she wants to take. her dad wants her to inherit his place on the fey council once he retires. she doesn't want to. on the other hand, ryker, and one of the older boys, naevys, quite like the idea of being on the council, but aphaeleon doesn't approve of this because ryker is blind and naevys has a leg that doesn't work all too well. so the war is still going while the xyrcan kids have these issues. the mørklox (svartalfhela's people) have begun to send spies in. among them, is khali crowther. she comes into contact with the xyrcan siblings and winds up falling in love with zenaida xyrcan. so basically gay romeo and juliet because their families are enemies or something. at the very end, aphaeleon loses two kids. andromeda gets caught up in a crossfire and is killed, and zenaida and khali run off to vidreterra's northern mountains together because they fear what could happen if they get caught, particularly because zenaida is a council member's daughter. aphaeleon begins to question whether the war is actually worth it or not. iii. children of the shadow (or blade, haven't decided) this is the one that's a plethora of short stories. the tavrinths (under warriors) were among the first settlers on midea and became protectors of the main citadel. protection became unnecessary as time went on though, but the tavrinths were still paid big bucks by the council and had complementary housing within the citadel. so they stopped training and became more of a rich family, as well as a dying clan. these short stories follow the tavrinth brothers (vaxas and mallius). all i really have so far is that vaxas was a part of an uprising in a kingdom and became the new general of midea's citadel forces. he's kinda delusional, but who the hell is gonna stop him? no one lol. he's my favourite oc. mallius, on the other hand, travels to a different realm called masdurett, and becomes the royal army's general. iv. children of the slain this is the main plot, and the characters are under 'the slain'. there's also a dragon in that tab called 'lore' where i'm trying to rewrite the novel. despite the realm's very old age, a kingdom was not established until very late because the prophets all feared a disaster that was going to come along with the seventh generation royal children. people began to demand leadership because of crime rates and a certain necromancer clan that kept wreaking havoc and playing with the dead. hearing about this, midea's fey council implements a kingdom, ruled over by masdurett's founding family. midea has a very close relation to masdurett, and to maintain the alliance, they trade babies every one thousand years. eventually, we get to the seventh generation, beginning with allan and serena masdurett. allan is the first heir. perfect kid and all that. serena was the second born, meant to be the second princess. however, someone steals the entire kid. she makes her rounds but the royal family can never find her. she eventually winds up at an orphanage because as it turns out, this kid can sing like a siren and escape her kidnappers every single time. the king and queen have a third kid, remaining unnamed because they trade this one off to midea to retain the alliance. the queen heads to midea, and comes back with natalie masdurett and another changeling named drake who is meant to be natalie's bodyguard. the king decides to allow drake to become one of the royal children. around this time, amelia skadis elwyn is still with her biological parents, a fallen valkyrie, and a necromancer, who was a part of the clan that terrorized masdurett in the earlier days. terrance elwyn is... terrible, to say in the least. one night, the town they're living in is set ablaze. amelia's father is trying to put out the fire, but her mother knows that the town won't make it. she's a fallen valkyrie, after all. she takes amelia and heads to the nearest orphanage, miles off from their town. she drops amelia off and promises that she will come back and get her once it's all over, and they'll run away together and find a new town. terrance gets trapped in a burning building as he tries to retrieve his tools. his wife comes back in the nick of time and saves him, but she becomes trapped in his place. terrance leaves her to die in the fire and never retrieves his daughter from the orphanage. amelia and serena meet and become best friends. at some point within the next few years, evan joins them. he was raised at the orphanage as he's been there since the day he was born. the king and queen walk in one day with natalie. they want more freaking kids. in short, they choose serena and evan, as well as amelia who was very stubborn to leave. apparently, the queen wanted to choose kids with magickal potential, and as it stood, serena already had her voice, and amelia was able to see auras. natalie just liked the vibes that evan put off. so that's six royal children. at some point, natalie begins to grow closer to her siblings. they play with some kids around the palace, some duchesses, but the six of them are particularly close with the head maid's daughter, sophie. eventually, natalie is close enough to amelia that she shows her a spot in the library that holds three grimoires written by the old prophets. and she finds a prophecy. the princess' birthday, ten at last, the devil's escape shall come to pass. for an heir that is evil to the core the crow will call the devil’s war. the seven royals of children’s past, gone together, one at last. the trapper, the seeker, the keeper, the hope, the joy, the dreams, the heart. now in one shell combined, to stop the evil of nature’s time. sound the bells of war, ring them loud and clear, the devil’s war shall come to pass and none shall become heir. so amelia spends several years trying to decipher it and honestly, everything's just chill until natalie's tenth birthday. they had been training and learning with the hope that one day, the realm can be ruled by the six of them together. natalie's birthday banquet begins. the palace is eerily quiet. the king and queen are making small conversation in the throne room as the kids get ready. long story short, it's a trap. there's a demon running free in the palace. as soon as everyone is in the same room, the demon binds the kids to place and murders the king and queen. allan breaks everyone free and escapes with them through a labyrinth beneath the palace. once they're safe in the garden, allan leaves on his own to process their mother and father's death. in his moment of weakness, the demon possesses him. i hope you feel somewhat better soon!

okay you gave me the thumbs up to ramble so ramble i will. be prepared to read a chapter book. i spent six years developing these stories through roleplay characters and the time i've spent on flightrising has really helped me with world building. all of my dragons are humanoid ocs that i've moved onto here.

i recently did a complete reorganization of my tabs to better fit my lore. it used to be organized by family but now it's essentially lore categories. anything that is a part of the main universe but not the main story is now in hib den (minus midas who's awaiting cooldown).

basically, the lore follows one major storyline (characters under 'the slain') and the surrounding tabs either have events and characters that lead up to the main story, or are results of the main story. these were five novels that i was planning to write as time went on, but i realized that they were much better as a plethora of short stories, minus children of the slain which is actually a novel. i've written out a first draft.

i. children of the wyvern
the characters in this part of the lore are under 'the wyvern'. it's meant to introduce the main realm where most of the lore takes place. midea is the main realm. it's the home of the fey and split into many kingdoms/territories full of many subspecies. the largest and most powerful twelve kingdoms form the 'fey council' and basically make all executive decisions for the realm. vidreterra is not a kingdom, rather a nice land of democratic peoples that kinda just chill (the nyban). the thing is, vidreterra is right in the middle between two rival kingdoms: chrysolitus and svartalfhela. chrysolitus is an economic hub and its council representative is the head of the fey council. svartalfhela is a desert biome full of blacksmiths, miners, and fighters who are suffering because they can't thrive off their land. a mass majority of their food is imported, but it's never enough to feed the entire nation and so they demand chrysolitus to go easy on them. chrysolitus kinda sucks, though. they're racist, so they obviously don't.

cue a war. vidreterra is caught in the middle and everytime there's an ongoing battle, the nyban have to flee to the northern mountains just to hope that they can survive. their land is constantly walked over and used as a battlefield because they're just not on the fey council, and therefore chrysolitus won't care about them being trampled.
50664989_350.png

this is wisteria clematis. she's a nyban, as well as this story's main character. in the northern mountains while the umpteenth battle is going on, wisteria talks to her family about the possibility of change. obviously the other nyban want change, but who the hell is going to talk to the fey council about it?

the nyban send wisteria and her siblings to midea's main citadel. the result? i haven't thought of it yet lol

ii. children of the sun
uh oh some years pass and aphaeleon xyrcan is now the head of the fey council. quite a bit of the story follows aphaeleon's kids and the 'perfect fey' ordeal. luxens (the people of chrysolitus) are quite special. the less kids they have the better. the very last kid they are able to have as a couple is called the perfect fey. this child is free of blemishes and societal imperfections. they're able-bodied and neurotypical. so, the older siblings in a bigger family will be... not "perfect".
60251269_350.png

ryker for example, is blind.

the war starts up again. the main characters in this part of the lore are under 'the sun'. because the war had been halted for so long, there are quite a few luxens who aren't too fond of it, including aphaeleon's kids.
50844416_350.png

bellaluna is the perfect fey in the xyrcan family but also hates what her dad is doing. she's got this internal conflict going on about the path she's meant to take in life, versus the one she wants to take. her dad wants her to inherit his place on the fey council once he retires. she doesn't want to. on the other hand, ryker, and one of the older boys, naevys, quite like the idea of being on the council, but aphaeleon doesn't approve of this because ryker is blind and naevys has a leg that doesn't work all too well.

so the war is still going while the xyrcan kids have these issues. the mørklox (svartalfhela's people) have begun to send spies in. among them, is khali crowther.
59589798_350.png

she comes into contact with the xyrcan siblings and winds up falling in love with zenaida xyrcan. so basically gay romeo and juliet because their families are enemies or something. at the very end, aphaeleon loses two kids. andromeda gets caught up in a crossfire and is killed, and zenaida and khali run off to vidreterra's northern mountains together because they fear what could happen if they get caught, particularly because zenaida is a council member's daughter.

aphaeleon begins to question whether the war is actually worth it or not.

iii. children of the shadow (or blade, haven't decided)
this is the one that's a plethora of short stories. the tavrinths (under warriors) were among the first settlers on midea and became protectors of the main citadel. protection became unnecessary as time went on though, but the tavrinths were still paid big bucks by the council and had complementary housing within the citadel. so they stopped training and became more of a rich family, as well as a dying clan.

these short stories follow the tavrinth brothers (vaxas and mallius). all i really have so far is that vaxas was a part of an uprising in a kingdom and became the new general of midea's citadel forces. he's kinda delusional, but who the hell is gonna stop him? no one lol. he's my favourite oc.
50423926_350.png
50664988_350.png

mallius, on the other hand, travels to a different realm called masdurett, and becomes the royal army's general.

iv. children of the slain
this is the main plot, and the characters are under 'the slain'. there's also a dragon in that tab called 'lore' where i'm trying to rewrite the novel.

despite the realm's very old age, a kingdom was not established until very late because the prophets all feared a disaster that was going to come along with the seventh generation royal children. people began to demand leadership because of crime rates and a certain necromancer clan that kept wreaking havoc and playing with the dead. hearing about this, midea's fey council implements a kingdom, ruled over by masdurett's founding family. midea has a very close relation to masdurett, and to maintain the alliance, they trade babies every one thousand years.

eventually, we get to the seventh generation, beginning with allan and serena masdurett. allan is the first heir. perfect kid and all that. serena was the second born, meant to be the second princess. however, someone steals the entire kid. she makes her rounds but the royal family can never find her. she eventually winds up at an orphanage because as it turns out, this kid can sing like a siren and escape her kidnappers every single time.

the king and queen have a third kid, remaining unnamed because they trade this one off to midea to retain the alliance. the queen heads to midea, and comes back with natalie masdurett and another changeling named drake who is meant to be natalie's bodyguard. the king decides to allow drake to become one of the royal children.
50880627_350.png

around this time, amelia skadis elwyn is still with her biological parents, a fallen valkyrie, and a necromancer, who was a part of the clan that terrorized masdurett in the earlier days. terrance elwyn is... terrible, to say in the least.

one night, the town they're living in is set ablaze. amelia's father is trying to put out the fire, but her mother knows that the town won't make it. she's a fallen valkyrie, after all. she takes amelia and heads to the nearest orphanage, miles off from their town. she drops amelia off and promises that she will come back and get her once it's all over, and they'll run away together and find a new town.

terrance gets trapped in a burning building as he tries to retrieve his tools. his wife comes back in the nick of time and saves him, but she becomes trapped in his place. terrance leaves her to die in the fire and never retrieves his daughter from the orphanage.

amelia and serena meet and become best friends. at some point within the next few years, evan joins them. he was raised at the orphanage as he's been there since the day he was born.

the king and queen walk in one day with natalie. they want more freaking kids. in short, they choose serena and evan, as well as amelia who was very stubborn to leave. apparently, the queen wanted to choose kids with magickal potential, and as it stood, serena already had her voice, and amelia was able to see auras. natalie just liked the vibes that evan put off.

so that's six royal children.

at some point, natalie begins to grow closer to her siblings. they play with some kids around the palace, some duchesses, but the six of them are particularly close with the head maid's daughter, sophie. eventually, natalie is close enough to amelia that she shows her a spot in the library that holds three grimoires written by the old prophets. and she finds a prophecy.
the princess' birthday, ten at last,
the devil's escape shall come to pass.
for an heir that is evil to the core
the crow will call the devil’s war.

the seven royals of children’s past,
gone together, one at last.
the trapper,
the seeker,
the keeper,
the hope,
the joy,
the dreams,
the heart.
now in one shell combined,
to stop the evil of nature’s time.
sound the bells of war,
ring them loud and clear,
the devil’s war shall come to pass
and none shall become heir.

so amelia spends several years trying to decipher it and honestly, everything's just chill until natalie's tenth birthday. they had been training and learning with the hope that one day, the realm can be ruled by the six of them together. natalie's birthday banquet begins. the palace is eerily quiet. the king and queen are making small conversation in the throne room as the kids get ready.

long story short, it's a trap. there's a demon running free in the palace. as soon as everyone is in the same room, the demon binds the kids to place and murders the king and queen. allan breaks everyone free and escapes with them through a labyrinth beneath the palace. once they're safe in the garden, allan leaves on his own to process their mother and father's death. in his moment of weakness, the demon possesses him.
59359433_350.png

allan seems to be completely normal when he returns to the group, but amelia recalls the prophecy and wonders if this is the beginning of the disaster. however, she realizes that the prophecy calls for seven titles and there are still only six royal children.

it isn't until the head maid mysteriously dies and sophie joins the family that amelia pieces together what's going on. allan gets colder towards his siblings, but still remains just as gentle to outsiders. he starts speaking of power and the future of masdurett when he is king, forgetting that they were meant to share the realm.

balls still continue to be thrown, but ever so slowly, the maids and butlers begin to disappear. those who aren't disappearing begin to quit their jobs out of fear for their lives. such is the effect of the devil's war.

at a ball, amelia meets the new commander of masdurett's royal army, mallius tavrinth. he's some years older than her, but holy crap she's in love. and even with her analytical mindset she refuses to believe that mallius was working with allan and just trying to get information through her fancy for him.

eventually, natalie, drake, amelia, serena, sophie and evan have to run off. it was to the point where allan was being violent towards his siblings and it was very apparent that he was under the control of an eldritch being.

in a number of years, the palace is dark and empty and allan serves himself. the royal children formulate a plan to take him down as they themselves, grow stronger.

at the very end, allan takes all of them down. natalie uses the last of her life energy to preserve the souls of her siblings and ensure that they live on for the rest of time. it is at this point, when amelia is floating through the cosmos, bound to her amulet, that she realizes that when the prophecy says "none shall become heir", it doesn't mean that they are equals and that good wins the devil's war. it means that allan has risen up to the position of being something much bigger than an heir, and that masdurett cannot be saved.

v. the chariot
this particular set of short stories follows the adventures of xia argon.
32158181_350.png

i'll keep her backstory short, but essentially, her parents are explorers that didn't want a kid to weigh them down. they left xia at an orphanage. she grows up and gets attached to the wrong people, gets in trouble, and has to flee. she stumbles upon an old rickety mansion and the woman inside takes her in as a worker.

after discovering some books in the library, she talks to this woman about magick and the woman allows xia to become her apprentice. after the apprenticeship ends, the woman gifts xia an amulet that will allow her a higher level of energy control.

the same amulet that amelia masdurett had been bound to at the end of the devil's war.

Hello! Sorry to hear you're not feeling well today. I can certainly share a few lore dragons who can hopefully help to bring some cheer. Best wishes that you are feeling better soon <3 I have a lore thread devoted to my full clan lore here, but overall my clan is a collection of varied factions involved with the Cathedral of Eyes. The Cathedral itself is built at the edge of a cliff overlooking the sea at the edge of the Sunbeam Ruins. Carved from the limestone of the cliffside, the Cathedral is surrounded by the sea as well as a dense forest of redwoods that blanket the hills behind it. It is a mysterious place, hidden by a myriad of strange time and space distorting spells and home to many even more unusual creatures. . . Oliver is a member of the Pied Piper, a ship under the command of Captain Odin that docks to offload its plundered treasures into the Cathedral's vault. The ship is rather unusual, traveling both to distant lands as well as distant times. It's a short tale of treasures found upon the beach and the stories they carry with them as they wash up with the tide. Hello! Sorry to hear you're not feeling well today. I can certainly share a few lore dragons who can hopefully help to bring some cheer. Best wishes that you are feeling better soon <3

I have a lore thread devoted to my full clan lore here, but overall my clan is a collection of varied factions involved with the Cathedral of Eyes.

Plover is a sort of NPC with lore written by Disillusionist. It's a short tale of treasures found upon the beach and the stories they carry with them as they wash up with the tide.

Oswald's story begins on the dunes of the Shifting Expanse. It follows a young Coatl's discovery of strange beings who come to the desert at night to scavenge ruins for decayed treasure - turned anew in their claws.

@Grimalkind I have...a lot. I think I'll show some that I don't show very much, but I have a lot more where these guys came from. :) (Okay, so this first guy I've been showing off somewhat lately, but he's also the one I completed the most recently, and he's not my go-to for showing my writing.) The dragon with the best-developed lore is Jager, who is a slightly loopy (no pun intended) adventurer usually found searching the wild lands of Plague for something or someone that he heard about in the bazaar at the juncture of Wind and Plague. He's motivated purely by curiosity; doesn't give a darn about profit. In his meanderings he usually finds odds and ends that he can sell or trade at the bazaar, but really he goes there in search of interesting rumors and quests. Jager's familiar, a Plague goblin named Cicatrix, does his best to keep Jager out of trouble, a constant task. Jager will drive himself until he is completely exhausted, at which point he collapses and has to be carried. He is somewhat limited in his perception of what constitutes danger and has been known to, say, fly into a shattered serpent's face to inspect its teeth. Jager also has a brain something like a radio in that it apparently tunes into things completely unknown to Sornieth: songs and verse are the most common, but he also may suddenly break into discourse on the life habits of grasshoppers or large predators. There's usually an underlying logic to whatever he is babbling, but it can be hard to spot. Welp. Pretty much all of my permanent clan members will eventually have Lore. X'D Literally, my Clan will just be a Lore Clan at this point. So that'll be fun! I wont drown you in that tho, so here are my favorites, with completed lore in their bios: There's my Progens, Larcenious and Adaminae, of course~ ! They were fun, and were the first of my clan to get official lore. Then there's my pretty boy Lycus! He was my first ever Project derg! And he's my Dream Derg, as well! He's also the "Mascot" for my Lair. X3 He was the first official tailor for my Clan as well! Though now he mostly focuses on jewelry~ ...Then there's THIS boy. Literally the most dangerous member of my Clan: Viek. He has got some issues, but is still welcome for his talents, even if he scares most of the other Clan Members. THEN there's Suzaku and Azuna, my Gaoler Pair! Their lore was VERY fun to think up and write~ I have yet to officially come up with lore for my Banescale Pair, but they'll be just as fun and scary as these two~ And finally... The one who put this all together: Everra! SHE is basically a FR-remade transplant of an actual OC of mine! To fit FR lore and whatnot, she was tweaked a bit, of course~ But with a bit of universal flare thrown in, hehe~ SHE took me forever to grab and gene, but once I got her...Ooooh the joy I felt. She is the official FOUNDER of the Clan; her and my Progens are basically the starting point/official backbone of the Clan~ ...Everra is also a hopeless, sweet little dork. It's far more fun, and easy to understand if you just read her lore. XD But yes, these are all my favorites; all with completed lore~

She slaughtered a Legion of Beastclans and those who got in her way of her conquest in the name of the Lightweaver but the goddess was not pleased and cursed her light magic to be blood red so every spell she will cast with appear blood red. all my den and most of my lair have lore ur welcome to browse if you're interested! some of it's interconnected but most dragons can stand alone. my clan is a group of nomads who travel between outposts in three regions (light, wind, and earth), so you've got all sorts thrown in the mix. most recently, i reworked the lore for these two, who are mates!
