I went through the scrying workshop to try nearly every single color with Diaphanous, and nearly every single combo looked absolutely gorgeous. It's definitely my favorite gene on veils, with Branches being a close second.

my random progen is looking mighty fine with his extra bug wings
since you mentioned branches my custom progen also is a veil now and i had to give her branches

I scried him with Diaphanous because, yeah, it's an absolutely gorgeous gene and I wanted a VS with matchy Diaphanous. I then almost immediately flung all my dragon money at making the scry a reality instead of waiting until the hype had died down like I'd promised myself before the release. …Oops? He was originally going to be a Skydancer with Fade/x/Ringlets, but nope. Only Veilspun now.
