This is my herbalist-medic, Althea. I'm still divided on her appearance and lore, so I'd appreciate it if you guys could share your medics/healers and their lore... And maybe headcanons you have on how healing magic works in the FR-universe?
Right now I've made it so Althea doesn't rely on healing magic, but rather on herbology to treat illnesses and injuries; I don't know whether or not I should enable her to do quick-healing magic medical-ninjutsu (Naturo) style. ^_^;

@Eliyanah Althea is super pretty!! I love her bio and outfit too :0 super fitting for an herbalist healer
[rule]
My clan has two healers, Blanche and Asher. The mage also knows some magic healing, but it’s only used during battle ^^
Blanche is an apothecary healer, and she heals uses potions and concoctions. Her medicines contain various herbs, water from the Tsunami Flats, a specific amount of sunlight and moonlight, and even venom.
([emoji=skydancer size=1]: Do NOT try this at home) Dragons come to her when they have stomach problems and joint sores, although there’s been an increase in jock dragons requesting strength and speed potions.

Meanwhile, Asher prefers to heal with dry herbs, bandages, proper lifestyle, and sometimes surgery. Dragons with physical injuries, muscle pain, coughing, sneezing, and other general health concerns should to Asher. (He’s the one who surgically attached antennae to Crystal)

Naturally, these two quarrel a lot. But at the end of the day they both serve the clan through healing.

Althea is so very lovely, I adore her entire soft look of pink and white and pastels, she's so nice!!
Here are a few of my healers...
Persephone here is more of an apothecary than a healer, in terms of magic. She uses herbs, handmade salves and other more natural cures, since she still subscribes to the Plaguebringer's survival of the fittest. Many other healers don't really like her, because she is "picky" with her patients, in a way..

Ambre is a healer who pairs her magical prowess with her talent for physical therapy. She encourages the saying that sunshine is the best medicine. She often works with dragons who have physical injuries in their muscle and bone instead of those sick with illness. Her warm personality and gentle touch easily make her a favorite in the clan.

Ah, yes, this is Rama! He is.. an odd healer, to say the least. He isn't the most studious of healers and doesn't actually know very much, so he can't actually help with more of the major diseases that some dragons in the Guild contract, especially if he has no idea what it is. His method is.. unique. He will infect the sick dragon with a virus that he knows how to treat and cure, one that will "override" the one they already have, so-to-speak, and then he'll just.. cure the one he already knows!

I love Althea's look! she looks so soft and her apparel makes her look like a professional!
here's Jasperite, one of the healers in my main clan! the other is Eidotheia but I've shared her too much oop

he's uhh not a fun guy and gives the bad news to you straight. good thing he's pretty competent, though! he doesn't rely on magic and instead prefers the stability and reliability of traditional medicine. also he's very interested in disease containment, which is why he came to the Wasteland in the first place.
aaand here's Sano and Ysin! they're wives and fellow medics in a raiding party

Sano here is a qualified healer in the barest sense of the word. she's good at what she does, yeah, but like. she thinks the healer's oath is a joke and has a thing for bloodletting, even if the condition you're afflicted with has nothing to do with blood. uses a bonesaw in combat. is it the same one she uses for surgery? who knows

Ysin is a little more restrained than her wife but she was originally trained as a mortician. so. uh. you can imagine how that goes when her patients find out. she's more reliant on magic but has a decent grasp of medicine. also is great at telling jokes and secretly afraid of needles

Tidal is a practitioner of healing magic; he hates the 'old-fashioned way' of using herbs and the like. He's also married to the combat mage Dusk and they have a son. He absolutely hates his in-laws and they hate him too because hes kind of a snooty asshole. he's very good at what he does though

Althea is really pretty! She really looks like a graceful healer. If you did want to go the quick-healing-magic route, it could be that she used the flowers as a conduit of fuel for her magic or something like that...
A lot of the dragons I've thought of lore for are based off ocs... so mostly their healing powers are more based of the lore from their stories, but it could still give some fun ideas

Clou is really more of a trash scientist than a healer but he is working to develop healing magic further. He uses sygils drawn in blood to redirect the energy of the recipient to heal the injury. Given that he's more concerned with furthering his research, for reasons that have more to do with spite than altruism, he doesn't have the best bedside manner, but he does his best.

Merel has pretty weak healing powers, it comes from a divine gift rather than any kind of skill. And it's more of a "purification" power than can be used to ease sickness than fully heal. But she can also use it to help fix polluted environments.

And I feel obligated to post Ginessa. She's the only dragon I have that is actually specced to be a coliseum mage/healer, though she never sees much action xD I also haven't though much about lore for her, since she's not based off a character or anything.

He's a magical healer, occasionally a combat medic, whose greatest triumph was healing his mate from a life-threatening case of Gembond. They battled with infertility and infant loss for many years, before one clutch was blessed by the gods: three healthy eggs which hatched into gaolers and bearing the marks of the gods in their eyes.

I have two so far. (They're both unfinished projects, but we don't talk about that.)
Apollo's what's known as a mage of the healing arts. His job tends to focus more on the battlefield, working with only a few herbs and healing magic to aid injured clanmates. (He's in the process of getting a lore update, so at the moment his old lore is still in his bio along with the half-finished newer lore.)

And Glakila is a more traditional healer. She mostly stays within the clan's territory, and works with a wide variety of herbs and medicines. She takes care of the more serious injuries that take a while to heal and can't be fixed by magic. (She doesn't have anything in her bio yet just ignore that.)

Waywind Wanderers
We will wander wherever the wind takes us.

Whirlwind was badly burned in a fire and his wounds didn't properly heal due to the inept medics of his former clan. He decided to devote himself to learning the healing arts so that his new clan would never have to go through the same thing he did.

I don't know if I'd call Nightstalker a healer as she's actually a necromancer. But she does use her powers to help give people closure and say good-bye to their loved ones.

Salavaje doesn't really remember life before living in the Scarred Wasteland. He spent a large majority of his life as a medic in a plague lair, so once that lair gone down and he moved here he was already quite snappy and aggressive with his patients. This guy has seen everything, all Starfall Isles patients look like a papercut compared to what he's fixed in the Scarred Wasteland.
