Life's got me feeling a little stressy depressy at the moment and I wanna see some meaningful dragons And what I mean by that is show me dragons in your lair that mean a lot to you or represent something that means a lot to you They can be fandragons, memorial dragons and heck even lore dragons I'll share two of my fandergs that fit this: 747 here I got because I live in a family of aircraft engineers. And well not only that but the actual Boeing 747 has a lot of meaining to my family in particular as both my father and grandfather worked on them, had a lot of friends that piloted them, and just generally gained a very fond appreciation of them that has rippled down to my generation And well Schumacher over here (and the entire collection he's apart of) is probably my proudest creation on this site. I got him because the person he represents was literally my first idol- probably the first person outside of family that I looked up to in awe So please Show me them meaningful dergs And fill my heart a lil with your proudest creations

Oh hun, sending you all the love I can from all the way up in the middle of nowhere lmao <3 747 and Schum look great! Cant wait to see you finish your F1 collection :D I’ll take a bit of time to talk about Columba here. She’s a memorial dragon for my grandad who passed away the same day my Ma learnt she had the Big C again. He passed a couple years before I made Columba, but still. I loved my grandad a lot and feel bad that my cousins couldn’t grow up with him like I did. Columba’s named after the genus of pigeons because that’s what my grandad owned and raced! Someone made her this really sweet piece of art with a rock pigeon and an NZ pigeon to represent us, and I’ll never forget the day I met the drummer from Queen on one of the pheasant hunts Grandad took me and his dogs too :3

@Skydust

Aa thank you ;v;

I love Columba
Honestly I adore her so much
A dragon representing one thing (pigeon) but with such a deeper meaning
Its always hard losing a loved one but Columba provides such a wonderful memorial to multiple facets of your grandad

As someone who lives in a place where the F1 is extremely important, I must say that I love your Schumacher dragon. I was never a big fan of formula 1 (unlike many others here) but his was a name that was being thrown around a lot, especially when I was younger so we all ended up sort of idolizing him, and it's nice to see him being recognized. I have a lot of dragons who have a special meaning to me, so I'll try to post only the most special ones: Avalas is extremely important to me, because he sort of represents myself at a younger age. I used to be nonverbal, like Avalas is and figured that if I had to make an autistic dragon I wanted one that I could recognize my own story into. Many of his behaviors are just like I used to be back then, and while I might have grown up, that person is still a part of me that now I can honor through my dragon. The day I got Tutu had been rough. Then I saw her pretty little face in the AH being sold for fodder and I managed to crack a smile just by seeing her. I immediately bought her and permababied her. She has has been my precious little comfort dragon ever since. She is still a scry because I haven't gotten around geneing her yet, but Marta is a memorial dragon of a relative very dear to me. We haven't been able to see each other much due to the pandemic, so when she passed it hit me extremely hard. That same day, I found a light egg and I couldn't help but smile at the coincidence since she would always tell me that there's always a light even the darkest times. I decided to hatch it and I jokingly said "Marta, if this dragon comes out with good colors I'm going to name it after you." Lo and behold she comes out of it. I liked the colors so I decided to mess a little with the scrying workshop, and I instinctively scried her as a veilspun with branches (one of my favorite tertiaries for veils), then, while I was looking at primaries I tried fade on her. I stared at her for a few moments before almost bursting into tears because as a veilspun with fade/branches she looks like a wisteria tree, the ones she had in her garden I hope you'll feel better soon!

Your abyss/rust g1s hand them over
I kept this dragon even though I don't like her very much anymore because she was a gift from another player when I was new. This dragon was part of a subspecies that never got off the ground. The person who made it is now inactive. I thought it had some potential. Just a reminder that if you want something to live long on FR, getting people's attention is key. People here can be so generous. I really, really like his colors in this gene configuration as well. It was fun to be a part of a smaller group.

It’s him. The 18th president US Grant. I hatched him on Grant’s bday so he’s just Grant now. [s]I was taking the APUSH test I’m sorry[/s]

Astrophel is one of the first dragons I bought in the site, and survived various purges, hiatuses and exalt rows. He managed to fit in whatever lair theme I had, which changed from magical school to forbidden portal to warring space dragons stuck in a magical observatory. He has quite the sentimental value to me as a result and stuck like glue to my lair when others didn't. So many good and meaningful dragons here in this thread! <3 I've got a ton of meaningful dragons throughout my lair, but I'll share a couple of the newer ones. I hatched this boy the day my son was born; he's got a very special place in my lair, and a permanent place in my heart thanks to that. Also bought this girl for my son's first mother's day. They're chillin' next to each other in the lair, and soon we'll have a father's day dragon to add to it! Everyones Memorial/Special dragons look great! I didn't realize how many other people had special meaning dragons! I have quite a few in my hibden, this dragon in particular is based off my cousin. Growing up in school, I had no friends and being around other people made me super anxious and nervous. I always sat alone and never had anyone to talk to. However, I did have my four amazing cousins that were always there for me. (I actually have the other three next to Kenneth in my hib den) This one in particular, Kenneth, I was lucky enough to have in my same grade and same class. He was the only friend I had in school, he always hung out with me when no one else would, and I'm so thankful for that! Speaking of Kenneth, he actually played Flight Rising with me! Sadly, he left FR after a few months, but I did keep his two favorite dragons, DeathWish and Galassia!
