When the Seeker Order was disbanded the Icewarden froze the Bogdogs and they sunk deep into the swamps and mires they patrolled.
Nearly all of dragonkind tell tales by the firelight about dragons that are half wolf, half swamp monsters. Parents use tales of Bogdogs to warn unruly hatchlings about the perils of bogs and mires.[/size][/color][/font][/columns]

They rise as filthy muck covered mountains from the deltas and bogs in which they spent their frozen slumbers.
Bogdogs honor the Icewarden and their duty by continuing to seek the Shade across the realms. Their long icy slumber has granted them new abilities: most Bogdogs can see future possibilities and some events of the past by scrying with their shed antlers. While it is tradition for most Gaolers to bury their shed antlers, Bogdogs carry theirs in a pack that hangs beneath their wings. Bogdogs with Multigaze can see into the future and the past with the eyes that line their bodies. This can be disorienting, so Multigaze Bogdogs often groom their thick furs to hide their eyes in order to be more present in every day life.[/size][/color][/font][nextcol][nextcol][item=lurching tome]

Bramble Bogdogs are most at ease with their paws in the fetid waters of the Driftwood Drag. It is unknown why Bramble Bogdogs are almost exclusively found in the realm of Shadow, but some speculate it is because the Shade is so difficult to find in Shadow. Bramble’s are tenacious in their work and have dedicated their lives to finding the source of the Shade in Shadow. Unlike traditional Bogdogs, Bramble’s do not have any talent for scrying the past or future. Instead, their Shadow eyes can see clearly even in the blackest of nights. When the Icewarden’s spell broke they did not wake immediately. They came to sluggishly finding that though the Icewarden’s spell was broken they were encased in a different, more grotesque magic that was actively mutating them as they struggled to breach the surface of the Quarantine Zone pools. When the Bogdogs emerged, they found that the Plaguebringer’s magic had altered their coloration. Now their thick fur was the color of muck and their wings tinted a dull red. Their fans no longer stretched green and shining but instead were brown and somewhat withered. The worst off of the Bogdogs had lost their fans completely, and instead were Stained.
Scourged Bogdogs quickly left Plague territory and journeyed to the healing waters of Gladeveins. As they rested in the sanctuary of Nature Scourged Bogdogs noticed they had a strong affinity for detecting Plague infestations. Generally, Scourged Bogdogs prefer to stay close to their home clans avoiding searching for the Shade. Their long slumber in Quarantine Zone #128 has left them traumatized, and they find comfort most in growing plants and connecting with Nature.[/size][/color][/font][/columns]
