Now I am perfectly aware that breeding gen1 or just dragons in general can make em decrease in value buuut sometimes the colors just work and you picked up the perfect genes for an unintentional pairing and it ends up beautifully

Nala here was from my Dustcarve Dig statue! Not only have I bred her, but it's part of her lore that she loves hatchlings and wants to raise many of her own, so I breed her whenever her cooldown ends. (She has two mates I alternate between, a tundra and a coatl, and has very cute babies with both.)
