Okay okay hear me out.
I had an idea I though would be fun in honor of Mother's Day.
Basically, take a dragon from your lair that's in need of a mom, dad, or parent figure. They can be misguided, have plenty of trauma, or just be lonely in the world. Just. A dragon who really really needs a parent. Be sure to explain briefly why they need a parent!
Then the person below you will post one of their dragons that they think could act as a good parental figure.
So basically you'll be posting two dragons. Your parent for the one above, and the one in your lair who needs a parent. Be sure to ping the person above you!
I'll start us off with a spoiled princess who has never had to work for anything in her life. She lost her mom and dad to a tyrant and had to relocate to an ally clan for her own safety. She's still extremely entitled but now has added trauma yay.

They are the leader family of my clan!...And considering that your derg is royalty too, they would definitely fit lol!

As for a dragon that probably would benefit from having a mother.....and father as well

Glaze, he never learnt to speak and even though i kinda make it seem cute--
I kinda like the idea that it seems innocent enough, and he can live with it definitely but the reason would be that his parents just left him when he was still just an egg so- ye
(My clan doesn't follow official lore btw so every derg speaks just english)

i think goliath would be a good parent figure tbh. he's voluntarily mute most of the time for lore reasons (he really hates the sound of his own voice) so he communicates largely through 'sign language' -- which i sort of interpret as involving a lot of crest and wing movement. since coatls also have crests, even if they're feathers, i think they would be able to develop a way of communicating that works for the both of them even if verbal language is off the table.
goliath being a tiny warrior seems like it would be a good fit for someone timid who might be intimidated by a bigger dragon. strong for protecc but small enough to not be scary. :)

i'm gonna go with sawyer.

his lore isn't written out yet but the gist is that he fell in with bad people, made bad choices, and now can't ever go back to his original clan (or, if he's smart, the shifting expanse at all.) he alternates between self-loathing for the things he's done and kind of tiredly resigning himself to just being the bad person he thinks he is. which cycles back into self-loathing once he ends up doing something bad, repeat ad nauseum.

I think that Galatea would definitely foster a relationship with Sawyer! she's a clan guard with a son of her own and something of a no-nonsense disposition; she's not without sympathy, though, and I think would be protective of Sawyer while still giving him a bit of tough love to encourage him to change his ways for the better.

for the next person - curious about who in your lair would take in Pyewacket, a problem child who lurks in the shadows from which he may have originated

Pomona already has one problem child in Sylvie, and would love to lurk in the shadows with Pyewacket! She's no stranger to spooky, and finds it something to be celebrated.

Next person, I think Edward would benefit from a parent figure. He's a bit of a nervous academic, and could use someone to write or visit with to assure him that studying and education is a worthy goal and he doesn't have to prove anything or solve a grand mystery, he can just live life and help others like he's been doing.

Feel like Eclipse would be a great parental figure for Edward! She herself is a scholar and could definitely help him keep up good studying habits, and would be down to listen to him gush about whatever topic interests him for hours on end. Sure... they're the same age (actually two days apart wow), but pshhh that can be overlooked.

What about Eira, the current ruler of my clan, who is in dire need of a loving parental figure but won't admit it?
