so i'm not at all into gen 1s, i don't like all the work that goes into them and how expensive they are for a dragon that's functionally no different to any other, but i don't have anything against people who have gen 1 lairs or hatch an egg for every special occasion, play how you want!
that said, sometimes the way people talk about gen 1s can make it seem like g1s are dragons that you keep, and non-g1s are the exception to that rule, and it gets me down a little bit sometimes
so i'm making an appreciation thread for our dragons with parents, come show off the dragons you spent ages breeding for, purchased from a hatchery, saved from being fodder, or however it is you got them!

Ainslee was a dragon I tried to get for almost a year with no good luck on the colour + eye type to the point that the breeder told me that they were sorry that they had to stop trying as it took so many tries with no luck, but then a few months later he put this lady on the AH for 100 gems, I asked them to save her for me but they just send her to me as a gift as I was going to take good care!.

And last, I breed a few dragons for this one, I had to buy a Wildclaw scroll for him as I got the colours I wanted for him, and put that skin on him as I bred him for that skin match! I still need his secondary but I'm quite satisfied!

i actually actively avoid g1s at this point. dunno, just having the 'first generation' indicator on some dragons and not on others for no discernable reason just irks me. i have two exceptions in my custom progen and my dragonsona and that's it.
this is mocha this is one of the first dragons i ever got and she recently got her bee gene and i absolutely love her.
