Dragon has been found! Two genes acquired, just saving for my last one <3
Hello all! I'm trying to find my dream dragon. I can buy the genes if I need to and I have a breed change scroll already, but I haven't been able to find any dragons with the colours I'm looking for. Any help/breeding advice would be much appreciated! I'll pay for a baby.
I need a female of any breed whose colours are Spearmint/Jade/Mint.
Please help me find my dream dragon!

Good luck on your search! I don't have any dergs to offer at this time, and I didn't check the Search or the AH for better candidates, but a hatchling from
this greenish Coatl pair of mine might help get you started at least! Do you want me to ping/PM you next time I hatch a nest from them, in case you aren't done with the hunt yet? Their range is just outside of your dream, but at least you might get an excellent breeding candidate if you're lucky! c:
(They usually go for 15-30kT/g depending on how pretty they are, and I'd be willing to buy the hatchling back at a discount if you use it just to breed and don't want it afterwards!)

Got my derg thanks to a helpful player who had a girl in those colours! Now I just gotta gene her out.

Denial Thank you so much for the offer! I'm relatively new to the game still, so probably a silly question, but... How do you tell the colour range of a breeding pair?

MythDancer Congrats! The breeding tool linked above might be clear enough, but just to be thorough since I'm not sure how much you know:
The outer, bigger ring of
this color wheel (link) lists every currently existing color (as far as I'm aware, although I think Deep Azure is just Azure or something now). When you breed two dragons together, their colors have an independent range in each slot (primary, secondary, tertiary) and by pinpointing the colors (i.e. derg 1 has Leaf (green) primary and derg 2 has Berry (red) primary), you can see which colors fall between their colors!
The range is always whichever is the shorter way from color 1 to color 2, so you can't have a range that includes every single color - roughly half is the maximum. Therefore, using Leaf and Berry as examples, these dergs' range would include some greens, all yellows, all oranges, all browns, and some reds. So the results could be very surprising and random! (That is generally not a great thing for pairs, unless the other colors are more controlled.)
If both dergs had Leaf primary instead, all their kids would have Leaf primary, or if one had Leaf and the other had Pear (which is right next to it), the chance would be about 50% for each kid to get Leaf, and the others Pear! And it works like this for every color slot. :)

rubyxblade Thank you so much for the link! I'll definitely play around with that <3

Denial Oh goodness, thank you so much for the in-depth explanation! That makes a lot of sense. It'll change the way I approach breeding in the future if I'm trying for a specific colour combo. Thank you!!!
