!!EDIT!!: Since this has gained so much traction unexpectedly (thank you ALL for your responses and for the absolute outpouring of love and support and help from everyone!! You’re what I came back to FR for!!!) I’m going to try to answer some FAQs that are popping up as best as I can.
Q: Why am I being pinged without my permission?
A: First of all, I’m sorry! No harm is meant by this! If you have been pinged in this thread, it is because one or more of your dragons is descended from my original dragons on #21707 from years ago, prior to my account being frozen.
Q: What’s all this about?
A: Years ago (much closer to the beginning), in a sitewide ban sweep, I was caught being a dumb, poopy teenager, and I wholeheartedly got what was coming to me and lost EVERYTHING. Every dragon, every item, every mail, every board I was still responding in...all put to a permanent, irreversible halt that will continue forevermore. I didn’t come back to FR for years out of shame and regret, but mostly over the grief of losing EVERYTHING I had worked for. I loved my dragons! I still do! Most of my permies had full, coded bios and heaps of commissioned art. I even had a dragonsona in my lair xD I had/have the Tumblr url “FlightAscending,” I mean this site CONSUMED my life. But it all ended, and it was my fault, so now I’m looking for the last pieces of my dragons and all of that time and care spent that I can possibly (and legally, per the admins, of course) obtain.
Q: Well, what if I don’t want to give up my dragon(s)? I love them!!
A: I have no intentions whatsoever of taking back WANTED dragons. If you are happy with a dragon that I provided to you, even posthumously and/or removed by generations and generations, then I AM HAPPY. That’s what I wanted most back then!! I wanted people to see my lair and smile, I wanted to make friends and interact, I loved getting hatchling letters and I’d always send a reply!! I’m not here to just TAKE dragons, that kinda-sorta happened to me (I just deserved it, in contrast). I’m here to seek out any unwanted kin of my dragons to take into my lair, and if the dragon descendant that you have is one that you want to KEEP, I’m merely asking to be kept in mind should that dragon be bred in the future. Nothing more!
Q: Okay! I’m comfortable with sending/selling you my dragon/my dragon’s hatchling(s)!! Who would you like them bred to? Where should I send them? Why isn’t OP answering my pings??
A: Again, I’m terribly sorry for any ways that I’ve made this difficult. I didn’t expect to get ANY response, so to have gotten one nearly FOURTY pages long now...boy, howdy, let’s just say I wasn’t ready LOL. I haven’t been on this site since, I believe, 2015 or 2016?? I could be wrong. I got to be there for the slow unveiling of individual colours on the new wheel, but never saw the wheel put to use as far as I remember. I only remember two Nights of the Nocturne. To put it plainly, it’s been a LONG time and I’m definitely getting older. This site has changed a LOT, and even where it hasn’t...idk, I’m not at all used to it anymore, I don’t fully remember how to navigate.
The QUICKEST and SUREST way to get a response out of me is mail. Mail me up, Scotty, fill up my inbox if I’m not responding. I work 8AM-5PM EST (3 hours ahead of FR if I remember correctly) so when I am home, FIRST thing I do is log on. I’ll see that SO much faster. PLEASE MAIL ME! I don’t bite!! ;u;
This is long-game. I only just returned, so the reality is that I’m broke as a joke and very lost compared to how I used to be on this website.
That said, if any of the dragons located in lair #21707 have ACTIVE relatives, even if they are of no value to you and were just born today, I want them. I don’t care what species, color, genes, nothing.
I care ONLY about their heritage.
I realize this can be a bit of a stretch and that likely nobody will even see this post, but in the optimistic and ideal event that one DOES see it...look back through the generations of your dragons, and let me know.
