game rules and things to know
- By agreeing to play or sub for this game, you agree to follow our rules.
- If you have a question on the game, or its rules, please message a moderator about it!
- These rules are subject to change as the mods (Heron and Nikame) see necessary. However, I won't change the rules to be unfair to players, and I won't change them without probable cause.
-The win conditions are as follows:

Town Aligned players win when there are 0 mafia aligned players in the game.
- The
Mafia Aligned (sometimes called Scum) players win then the scum composes at least 51% of the alive players.
-Any third party (3p) role conditions will be stated in the role PM. I'd recommend that you keep a copy of your role PM in a place you can easily access it.
-This game may have b@stard elements, such as mafia that appear town and roleswapping
Joining the game
- Please do not join the game if you cannot meet the one productive post for game quota.
- In order to join the game, just make a post in the thread saying that you'd like to join! You will receive a ping when you get added to the playerlist, so you will know that you are indeed part of the game.

The game will begin when all slots on the playerlist are full
- Role PMs will be sent out by me once one of the above conditions are met. They will contain the acronym of the game (This is a Basic Mafia Game becomes TBMG) role. Once you obtain your role, you may begin playing!
- Please don't act for a specific role. We decide roles by assigning each role in the game a number, and then using
random.org once per player.
- Hydras, or multiple players sharing a player slot and role, are allowed.
- Hydras can not have more than two people (or "heads")
- There will be a maximum of 3 hydras in the game.
- Use invisible text and tell me your favorite color when you sign up so I know you've read the rules. People that don't can still join, but I want to see who reads mafia game rules!
Communication
- My preferred method of communication is FR messages, though I will occasionally post on Quicktopic chats. If you'd like me to respond to a question, please put question as part of the title, so I know to respond quickly!
- All outside chats in this game will be made with
quicktopic.com
- You are not allowed to give out quicktopic links to anybody. All chats will be posted at the end of the game.
-Players or subs in this game are not allowed to communicate with other players or subs in this game outside of mod sanctioned means.
- You may not directly quote the mod pms, or show screenshots. Paraphrasing us is fine.
playing the game
-You must make at least one productive post every three days.
- A productive post is defined as "a post that relates to the game, and analyzes, requests information, or answered questions"
- You need at least 3 people to vote for a lynch
-The lynch with the most votes will go through
-In the event of a tie, whichever lynch got the last vote does not go through.
- You are allowed to edit posts in the thread, but you must say why you made an edit. Please do not delete posts without mod permission.
Ability cards
- I will not directly lie on ability cards, but I may not tell you the whole truth.
- The roles have a certain order that they act in. For example, if the mafia kill and the vig target the same player, the mafia will kill the player.
-Every ability card in this game will have something you can do or use.
- Here are the types of abilities that you may see on your cards:
- ACTIVE: An active ability is an ability you have to choose to use. You PM a moderator with how you'd like to use your ability. Unless stated otherwise, assume you may use your ability once a night.
- PASSIVE: The opposite of an active. You don't need to choose to use a passive ability in order for it to work. Passives sort of run behind the scenes at all times. Some passives activate on certain conditions, such as death
- X shot: An X-shot is an ability that can only be used X amount of times. A 3 shot can be used a total of 3 times. They can be passive or active, but are usually passive.
