Shadow’s Reckoning Festival
Welcome friends to the first annual celebration of my clan’s festival Shadow’s Reckoning! I hope to continue to celebrate this every year as a fun tradition I hope you all enjoy. There will be a few activities for you to do here so feel free to participate in any of them!
The Lore
For those of you who do not know the lore of the festival feel free to click on the dragon at the top of the forum and check out the lore at the very bottom. There is also information about it at the bottom of my Clan Profile so please check it out!
Contests and Minigames
There are three things you can do while you are here, two of which are contests! The first contest is a scrying and dressing room contest! Basically you will scry and dress up a spooky themed dragon and than everyone will PM me their favorite and the first place winner will get a couple of prizes! The other contest is a writing contest, you will write the spookiest short story possible. While enjoying the contests, in character you can initiate a conversation with any one of the dragons walking around including other participants.

The small dragon landed next to his mate and walked with her out into the open. He breathed in the smell of baked goods and felt a little giddy. "You ready for some fun?" He asked with a sarcastic grin.
Amethyst grinned back. "You bet! Can't wait to see who else is here!" She glanced around hopefully.

Cassiopeia landed in the shadows slightly away from Amethyst and Acorn. She stepped immediately into the festival area and began sticking out her tongue and taking in the smells. Fresh baked treats, each individual dragon smell, and even someone who she'd been wanting to see for a while. Her daughter was here tonight. She opened her eyes and smiled hopefully.

Though not typically one to join in these sorts of things, Sonata had been intrigued by this festival in particular. She was unsure as to why, however it seemed that her gut feeling was always trustworthy- so she was willing to give this a chance.

Amethyst nodded, smiling politely. "I'm Amethyst, nice to meet you!" She thought about holding out a paw for the snapper to shake, but took one glance at her feet and decided against it. She didn't want to seem rude however so she held out her talon anyway.

Cassiopeia's face lit up when she saw her daughter approaching. She was so stunned she didn't move forward herself, but when they hugged she wrapped her soft, cool wings around her daughter gently and felt her spirits soar like a comet through the evening sky.
Sundown opened his wings with a smile just as wide and gave his daughter a huge hug while simultaneously trying not to bump her tray.
Cassiopeia looked at her daughter affectionately. "Pumpkin... You've grown to be so beautiful! Oh..." She tried hard not to burst into tears of sheer joy.
Sundown put in, placing a warm wing on his mates shoulder. "We're glad we could make it! It's so good to see you again, sweetheart. Our clan received it's invite and we knew we had to come." He didn't put in that they'd been pretty busy, best save that for later. "I hope you've been liking it here!" He finished with a smile, wanting to know more about what his daughter did.

3 dragons from clan Duneberry join the festival early in the morning before the mist clears. The area has a more quiet and gentle atmosphere, but things are already starting to pick up for the day. Duneberry tradition does not allow males to attend unless politically inclined.

Former leader, now precedent of the Duneberries, she lands softly and soaks in the morning mist. Her zephyrs blow like early morning windchimes. She hums a light tune while slowly walking around and admiring the festival grounds. She nods politely to all who she passes by.
A plainly dressed imperial (typical of Kagas) lands awkwardly on shorter-than-average wings, almost crushing an empty festival stall. Concerned, she checks to make sure it's alright before making a nervous escape. She seems to be looking for a particular dragon and is a little nervous to talk to strangers...
A slightly camouflaged, masked imperial lands far away from the other dragons, making sure to keep this distance as they move around. She silently observes the festival and eyes other dragons coldly to avoid confrontation. Her familiar mimics her movements. She sometimes leafs through her book before looking back up at the gathered dragons.
