Flight Rising Discussion

So, I signed up as Wind, for various reasons, but I'm thinking of switching. I still have my free switch, and Wind will be okay if I wander off as long as I wait until after this week.

I'm not interested in switching to Plague for various reasons, largely lore (my poor dragons would not be okay with living in that). Otherwise, I'm willing to entertain most flights. Please give me your best ads!

Things I'm interested in are... Okay, my favorite eye colors are Wind, Light, and Ice, and lorewise/location-aesthetic-wise I'm particularly drawn to Light, Arcane, and Shadow. I don't want to join a flight where I'll feel obligated to participate in dom, but I do like pitching in once in a while. Just not that often. Creativity's important to me, and I'd like a community where I can feel comfortable jumping into the forum- active but not hyper would be nice?

Flowers are everywhere, and trees and leaves and all that jazz! When we want to surprise someone, we send them FLOWERBOMBS. How can you get better than that? Literature? No problem! We've got all that in the bag. So many people in nature flight are boss at poetry and literature. And of course, the best reason for joining Nature flight: THE BEARDLADY. Interesting. I'd like to hear from other flights too, especially Light, Arcane, Ice, and Shadow, but I do like green. Is Nature's community particularly creative, you think?

@TCA - Shadow has a fairly busy forum, but ever so, I have never seen a thread go unanswered. We just created a shadow lore club, and someone is currently setting up an accent maker club. We have a book club and more games than you could shake a stick at. There is also a wish list thread with several generous shadelings waiting to pounce... and give out gifts!

As far a dom goes, we are currently reorganizing things, so our next push isn't for a while. Even then, no one is pressured to join in. Things do get a little dom crazy right before a during a push though. I'll admit it gets hard to find threads during those times.

Shadow understands all about lurkers though- so if you want to look about without posting, that's cool too. There is certainly enough to read through.

If you want a flight with lots of games and very chatty people, Shadow is great. It is, however, the largest flight, so it's hard to make connections without reaching out yourself.

@TCA Nature has so many creative people, with amazing art and literature skills! I've seen some nature lore, and it's simply amazing! :)

Oh, you're in Light? Can you tell me a bit about creativity on the forums, and what it might be like if you're not into dom all the time?

"active but not hyper" describes Arcane perfectly! We have many creative organizations like the Writer's Guild, all kinds of fun forum games and discussion groups, and we're developing more and more ways that people can get involved with dom if they choose to do so. You'll have plenty of options on that front!

Plus, our festival is coming up in two weeks, so you'd be here to experience all the fun! We have a lot of great things in the works and you could be at the center of it.

It's a great community, very entertaining and even kind of innovative in some ways. People are supportive and we have a great time.

@TCA - we-eeeelll we're usually making money, most of the time :P

our forums are super haphazard and 2347987347 of the topics are dom or money-related, but we have a writing guild in the works (i believe) and lots of art groups (if you're lucky, someone might offer free headshots for fun, if that's an incentive!)

we're also developing subspecies lores/lists, so you would join at the right time!

it's actually fairly easy to connect and befriend to the "big-shots" in light (read: dom leaders or overall lightmasters) and there's a really friendly (albeit money-centric) community here if you would be up for it!

Uh.... maybe @Shriayle can help with some more art-related stuffs? (sorry bb for pulling you in xD)
i'm more of a money pusher and lore brainstormer, but you can't really tell by what I have on my lair right now because I am absolute bollucks at formatting :)
