It's not even them sorting out anything though. The encounter rate is abysmal, and the drop rate even more so.

I actually have to agree. I haven't really seen them that much which is a shame since I love the design of the magic mirror. I get why they lowered the drop rate for chests but why drop the rate of encounters so low? Hopefully it gets sorted but either way I'm excited for this event.

They need to adjust the encounter rates and drop rates or else thing'll get even more catty than how it went last year.
I'm hoping that they'll realize this rather quickly given how nasty things got last NotN. Especially with all the incentives they've put out.

The encounter and drop rates are fine
The chests actually drop good stuff now, of course chests won't be as common as they were last time

Yeah. I've been coli grinding for almost one hour now and have only found Mimic rivals twice, which only let some dust and food behind. Hopefully they'll up drop rates a little bit

The encounter rates aren't really all that fine if I only encountered 8-10 NotN enemies in five different high level venues, and after 45 minutes, get no chests at all, and only one from Gathering.
I'd prefer lots of chests as opposed to barely any that are more likely to contain nice things. At least a lot of chests last year meant lots of food points.
Thankfully, each venue is still being configured with enemies.
