...why did some of the old colors have to change so much? I understand that everything had to be standardized across the site, but why did that require changing a few colors so drastically? Thankfully most old colors seem to be pretty much unaffected, but I've noticed (as have others) that some- especially pastels- have shifted quite dramatically. For example, look at this guy:

I unfortunately don't have a "before" image to show you, but to me he looks... a lot more yellowish. He was a very nice off-white color before. I can live with the change, but I don't particularly like it. Some other colors were changed a lot more than that, particularly Ice and Seafoam from what I've seen. It's not a huge difference, and some people may not even notice. But I always greatly disliked how seafoam looked on female Guardians, so to see that this is how it looks across the board is disappointing.
Someone on tumblr made a post comparing the base color and shadow color of the old and new seafoam shades.

Honestly, this distresses me a bit. I'm glad that most of my dragons are unaffected, but it seems like others haven't been so lucky. Undel has apparently confirmed that these changes are intentional (unlike the underbelly bugs and gold cryface), so I guess these changes are here to stay.

Luckily for you, that particular color change is actually confirmed to be a bug, and it should go back to normal soon! As far as I can tell, the most jarring non-bug color shifts are seafoam, ice, and maize, and to a lesser extent rose and ivory. Gold cry/face got bugged somehow, so that should be fixed soon.

I had to throw this guy out. I've noticed shimmer seafoam has remained relatively the same, but I dislike being limited to shimmer, and current was one of my favorite genes.
So yeah, this drastic change is unfortunate. It's unfair to old players, and I wish it could be changed back, but I don't see that happening. Sorry to anyone else's dragons who were messed up!
