I'm just curious, because it was a rather sudden change after just releasing it. I wonder what was the reasoning behind that.

Old. New one looks too much like Ripple.
Even then, I don't see them as needed genes.

The new one looks a bit too busy and it's hard to look at. At least for me, Too many ripples.

IMO old one should be Jupiter/Saturn new one should be Drizzle/Drip

I like the old one better. I was actually going to get Jupiter for one of my GenOnes but with the new markings... It looks like a more expensive version of Ripple :l

Old. The 'tighter pattern' is way too busy and competes with all the other small details on the dragons.
I probably wouldn't be as disappointed if I'd never seen the old version. I don't know what the point of releasing an unfinished gene was.

I feel like the new one evokes a gas giant better than the old one, but honestly I like both the same. I'm pretty ambivalent about this gene, I'd like to see a few more subtle primaries/secondaries.

Both are fine I guess. I don't care that much. It kind of feels like the old version is a bit too loose, while the new one is a bit too tight. I'd prefer something inbetween
