Did you ever notice that giving a Pearlcatcher the Glimmer tertiary gene also affects the color of its pearl? For instance, a Pearlcatcher with Cyan Glimmer will have a blue pearl, and so on.

Usually Glimmer affects the underbelly and some accent parts, like horns, but I only just realized that it impacts pearl color, too! I was wondering why, once in a while, I'd find a Catcher with an oddly-tinged pearl!

Has anyone noticed anything else like this happening with their dragons, where a certain gene does something neat and unexpected with a certain type of dragon?

I'm sure I'm not the first person to notice this, of course! I just wanted to spread the word about how cool this is, and see if any other breed-gene combos had a similar twist.

One cannot blame me for being a new player and finding this discovery interesting...

[/quote] Sorry wasn't trying to be rude, I'm sure the others weren't trying to be rude either, so sorry about that ^^ In answer to your question about other genes doing something similar, I don't think so...? I could be wrong though :p

No worries--I've barely been on here two months and I've already chuckled and rolled my eyes a few times at the same posts and questions popping up in the forums over and over again...But it's to be expected. Tis just the nature of a game community where some folks have been around for years, while a new wave of fresh newbies comes in every month. Let us not forget that every single one of us was once one of those newbies! :P

Even so, I'm sure there are even some FR veterans out there who haven't noticed the Glimmer-pearl thing before, so as an admirer of this breed, I thought I'd share the fun discovery.

I would definitely be interested to hear if someone does discover something like this happening with a different breed/gene!

[/quote] @MysticalHexanes Actually, another comes to mind with glimmer! Bogsneaks scales are partially affected by glimmer! You can see some of the blue around him!
