Does anyone else have any superstitions about playing? I have 2.

Superstition 1: Enemies are more likely to hit dragons closer to them.

Of course, I don't think the players have figured out how AI targeting works, but since I started attacking enemies close to my Mire Flyer before the ones further away, I've had more "no damage" runs in the Mire while taking my exaltees from level 1 to 7. Or confirmation bias is kicking in, or it's something else entirely and my brain simply sees a pattern where none exists.

Superstition 2: I only get eggs when I don't think I'm going to get an egg.

I regularly spend turns gathering (and a more than reasonable time in the Coliseum). I have never gotten eggs when I was genuinely hoping to. In fact, two of them were scavenged when I was specifically thinking that I wasn't going to get an egg today, and my one coli egg dropped when I practically forgot that eggs could drop in the Mire. Of course, most scavenging turns I think anti-egg thoughts, and I'm not covered in unhatched eggs...

Basically that second one, but also I believe that if I'm not really paying attention to whats dropping in the coli, I'm more likely to get something rare

I only get anything when I'm not looking to get it.

Enemies are more likely to crit if I have less than 20 health. And more likely to doge when I'm under 40 breath.

Never start on Swamp weasles.

  • Quiet prayers to the Arcanist that what Pinkerton gives me will not be something rubbish;
  • Quiet prayers to the Arcanist that I'll get yellow sludge/goo/ooze for a change (I flippin' NEVER do);
  • My mild synaesthesia gives the different relics in Artifracture personalities (tablets are bookish; amber is streetwise; the white pebbles are stuck-up, etc. My brain is odd)
  • Podids are actually mocking me, dodging my Eliminates. Curse them.

Don't know if it's a superstition, per se, but I always go with whatever gathering type "feels" like it'll give me the most currency during a fest.

If I click directly on the center of the enemy, they won’t dodge
(Disproven time and time again, but the superstition persists)
