Imagination or just daydreaming.
I have no idea though...that’s what I do if I don’t focus well. I just fall into it eventually.
Edit: I also listen to some type of music like others said to do. I guess I forgot to put that down as well. Either way, it makes me fall into it. I watch videos every now amd then but I don’t really look at it.

Maybe try listening to a podcast or documentary? Something that doesn't require you to visualise anything but is still engaging/interesting to listen to

@nullius Depends what you count as multitasking, but if movie/TV doesn't work, maybe podcasts/audiobooks? Or rewatching a series you already know really well, so you remember the plot and it is easy to follow? Barring those, you could try setting small, attainable goal/quests after which you get to take a break. For example, some that I have heard are after a certain amount of battles, or when you get exactly the same as your first drop, when a notable object drops (anything that isn't food or mat/other), and after you collect x of a certain object.

i open a new tab to watch movies, but since you said that doesn't work, maybe put on music or a podcast or audiobook? i listen to recipes too when im particularly bored in coli!

Yup this is what I do. Catch up on my stuff I want to watch while I coli :D
Edit - Podcasts are a good idea too since you don't need to look at them. I guess it depends on your ability to multitask, I know my friend cannot do two things like that whereas I need to have something else to distract me lol.

I usually watch movies/TV shows/Youtube or listen to podcasts or music. If I want to watch a movie or show, I usually put on something that I've seen several times already. If it's something new then it'll be too distracting because I'll want to pay attention to the plot or characters. xD
