Maybe I am just too sentimental but I never exalt my dragons
I challenge you to give me a reason to sacrifice my dragon children

When I joined I was like "Why would I ever exalt my precious dragonbabies" and as a fellow very overly empathetic and emotional person I understand. Half of the dragons I keep cause they're beautiful, the other half I keep cause I've had them for a long time and it would hurt to get rid of them
But once you spend enough time on this site you'll see that exaltation is normal and you will do it soon

Dragon-money compels me to exalt, there's no many excess dragons populating the site, many specifically bred as fodder to be exalted, and profit exalting is one of the biggest sources of income for a lot of players.
But all in all, to each their own; want to exalt? That's great! You don't want to exalt? (Politely, of course) That's perfectly fine too, we all play differently.
(I'll note that I used to be a strict no-exalt lair, not so much because I thought it was wrong, I just got attached to dragons very easily, like yourself; it's not uncommon for somebody's stance on profit exaltation to shift with time).
