it could be pronounced COTLE

2. PRIMAL

(I say it as Pr - EYE - mal)

It could be pronounced PR - IH - MAL with an ih sound, like in the word, linguistics

@Herico oh thats what I thought but freetofly says its cotle... its just some of my irl FR friends pronounce it that way... same with primal.

So, technically we're all pronouncing it wrong, but that last silent -tl is awkward to say. As for primal, I pronounce it like a combination of pry (as in to pry a can open) and mal (as in animal).

don't know about #1, but #2 is not an exclusive fr word and is pronounced 'pry-mall'
