Hey dudes, I've been missing for 1,000 years and what the hell is happening here
Can someone give me.... pointers or tips? Let me know what's up with FR now? It's been a long time.

Basically, I would go into the announcement forums and just like...read back until you start to recognize stuff. It'll honestly be the best way to catch up on things you've missed. They've changed it so they are in chronological order now, which makes things much simpler.

There's also the Chronological Update Reference. It gives little blurbs about each update then links to the announcement if you wanted to read more.

The new thing right now is the Hibernal Den

You can unlock slots for it with both gems or items and people are packing it full of fodder hatchlings to flip or for upcoming pushes. It has the potential to really switch up the Dom scene with how many dragons people can now save with it.

It's also added like 400 spaces.

The downside? If you wanna call it that - is that the hatchling fodder floor has risen a bit

No problem!

yeah, we haven't had a Dom battle between two+ flights yet, I don't think. So we haven't really seen the effects but yeah, I can't imagine it'll not push the envelope a little.

The Den takes some crazy tasks to unlock spaces though. Some of the quests take elemental eggs, coli bosses, breed/gene scrolls, etc. So not everyone's going to be kicking all 400 extra spaces right off the bat... you can get 100 with gems (50 a pop I believe) and the rest have to be unlocked via those quests.

So it might become even more lucrative to be a dragon boarder or w/e it's called when you hold dragons for other people. It's probably cheaper to hire one 'a them then it is to buy an egg or any 'a the other big items.

Another thing worth noting are Eye Types. Dragons can now have a lot of different eye options. Some 'natural' and some you need items for. They aren't breedable either. Just random chance... which a lot 'a people don't really like but it is what it is now. We're getting up to their 1 year anniversary soon.

There's also a new vendor over in the Trading post. Roundsey runs a raffle once a week that has the chance at sprites, KS items (donated), and staff created G1s.

Oh, another big thing that happened recently - that you probably wont see in the reference, although the other stuff should be in there - is that we hit 50 million dragons on site. There was a big mass hatch to see who could hatch it first 'n all.

Otherwise, the only other big things I can think of off the top of my head are like... new apparel 'n familiars.

You might also have left before the coli revamp; there were a lot of improvements made there. (Keyboard controls!)

There's also a new fairgrounds puzzle game, Glimmer & Gloom, with guaranteed solves that let you get your 75kt in about 20 minutes. I posted a guide here if you have any issues with it.

@Horticulture [emoji=guardian happy] (oh, and we recently got Emotes of all things - you can access them via the [img]http://www1.flightrising.com/static/forum_icons/bbcode/forum_emoji.gif[/img] ion the edit bar) Another thing that might be helpful [s]would be me actually remembering anything[/s] is that the staff acknowledged that the achievement system is a bit broken. So they've talked about it's eventual revamp. Which means that at some undisclosed time, they'll be disabling all 'chieves. Currently, the coli achievements are unavailable as they were turned off when the Coli was revamped and never turned back on. The shock switch achievement was never turned on to begin with and the collection achievements are lagging all over the place... Suffice to say, if there are any achievements you want, now's the time to go for 'em.

@Horticulture welcome back! seems like most things have been covered here already. There are also new genes, apparel, familiars, coli venues(??) etc. Coli revamp, Lair revamp, Auction House revamp (I don't remember when that was) Roundsey's Raffle etc. Site's pretty freaking awesome right now. We're also getting food type events in the coliseum now! One per season. Plants [emoji=plant] in summer, seafood [emoji=seafood] in autumn, insects [emoji=insect] in winter, and the first meat [emoji=meat] event late spring? We haven't had that yet. My timing may be off but keep an eye out. They release specific themed food items with a high drop rate and two themed familiars with a high drop rate from all enemies and it lasts for several days. Excellent for stocking up :) Also the emojis. It really looks like we'll get the full range of expression for each breed of dragon, they're still adding stuff. It's great [emoji=mirror happy]

You can now buy official Flight Rising t-shirts! As in, real t-shirts for humans that your human body can wear. Only t-shirts and prints so far, but the designs are gorgeous
