TOPIC | I'm back, and inconsistent
Hey, wow I havent been on in months. I really want to get back into flight rising, but I got a question. How do I still do good and be successful in this game, when my brain makes me not have any motivation to come on and it eventually turns into a fear of coming on. I just.. I'm not too messed up to play this game because I really love the mechanics and I still do want to run a small hatchery eventually. I'd just like any tips on how to stay motivated in this game.

Well, this is the second time I come back to FR after leaving for some time. My motivation is to build a lair made up of nightmares and maybe a little cuteness :}

The constant search for the perfect dragon to match every accent I impulse bought or breeding dragons to hoard more gems. That’s what keeps me going.

Set some goals you would like to accomplish. Completing the hibernal den tasks, or completing the bestiary?

Welcome back @muttiepup!

As someone who came back after 3yrs break, and others may suggest this too, play FR how you want to play it, your own play style and your own pace. :) It can be enjoyed without being as hardcore as any other.

What keeps me motivated is doing the small things. FR is slow paced to me (gotta wait 5 days for anything to hatch, only 10+ gatherings for the whole day, dragons don't need to be fed too often and decrease energy slowly, and glimmer and gloom I do throughout the day), so I take everything in stride while having goals.

Goals can differ from the hatchery to having special dragons and ideas for them like lore or art. Use those to spur the small activities you do on site. Good luck!

@muttiepup

set mini-goals so you're not completely overwhelmed. for instance:

-Log in to feed dragons
-incubate nests
-gather food

and if you're done for that day after that much it's perfectly fine. once you get used to that you can add on with:

-complete x amount of tasks on the which waystone
-put 50kt in the vault
-coli for x amount of minutes
- max out fairgrounds
or other simple tasks. if you don't feel like completing a task that day (fairgrounds or coli for instance) then don't.

as long as you're having fun on this site then you're succeeding.

First off, welcome back! :)
As for staying motivated, for me it's mostly two things. One of them being offering services - in this case a leveling service - to fund my projects. I am a gen1 lair and have lots of geneing projects. They are what keep me playing. Not sure if that'd be for you though.

Oh hey I'm the same way with other games! It really is a tough cycle to break out of.

Definitely set small goals - you don't need to be making hundreds of thousands of treasure each day to be successful, since only you can decide what success means to you.

Incubate, gather, feed dragons - then work on bigger stuff. Your account is fairly new and I find that it takes a while to truly get off the ground in the beginning, so if you feel like it isn't going fast enough...that's probably normal.

Best advice I can give is to learn how to play Glimmer & Gloom for easy money and get into breeding fodder for even more cash flow.
