I make sure to keep the same dragons that bred before (or rather the one where the lineage was last with) continuously.
Can't say the same for my progens though with mix matched breeding in my early days but I breed them together on special dates or occasions.

Sure, many of my dragons have perma-mates (both for lore reasons and for breeding). I believe many players (if not most) are doing it :D
