Like say you're in Water but you have a dream dragon that requires Wind primal eyes or something. Would you just sadly put that dream in a box and stare at it from a distance forever? Would you go through with it and rent nest after nest in hopes of getting it? Would you switch flights?
I've only ever bred for eyes once, and I needed dark sclera so it didn't matter what eye type I got as long as it was Plague. Other than that I usually don't play around with eye types in scries because I don't need that impossibility in my life lol. I'm sure I'm the oddity there though, so I'm curious what other people do when faced with that situation.

If it was really good, I'd switch flights. It'd probably be cheaper.

Primal eyes from a different flight... I couldn't be bothered breeding that. RNG hasn't been on my side for dragon breeding. The only eye-types I'd go for are the ones that I can get from gem marketplace/baldwin.

I would switch flights, and then switch back when done.

I don't think I'd even breed for a primal from my own flight, honestly.
Although this aspect of the eye RNG isn't a disappointment to me personally (most Primals just look weird to me because of the missing pupils), I really dread that someday a new natural eye type might come out that I'd find wonderful and perfect and it would be so much fun coming up with scrys to match it - and then I'd realize that to get it I'd either need to swim against the RNG tide for months/years or use up one of the only two Galore vials I'd ever get for it.
Wouldn't be worth the headache. Breeding for tints is hard enough.

I am doing this. Started over a year ago, gotten up to 8 breeding pairs of identical colors to rent nests for. Will finish it, because I'm stubborn and not giving up now, but as for whether I'll ever do it again...
