For the longest time I kept buying them in the AH for low prices along with all other low-priced apparel for Baldwin, and I never noticed that you can't actually give them to Baldwin! (Can't hoardsell them either.) Looking at how they keep showing up and disappearing in the AH, I think other people are doing the same thing. So, here's your warning! Don't accidentally end up with too many of them like I did. (They are very pretty, but that doesn't mean I want five!)

They're a mistake. There shouldn't be a 'protected' group and even then they should've been cycled out of it long ago.

I've heard someone suggest that the tigerlily set might have originally been intended as gem apparel. It's just supposition, but it would make sense if true.
Good PSA, though. Can only hope one day FR deigns to fix this. :/

One way to get rid of them in the mean time is to find a locked account and send a full a PM with them. that way they're taken out of Circulation as the locked account can't do anything with them. and you no longer have to look at them in your inventory
