TOPIC | 'Cluttered' or minimalist apparel?

When I dress (or plan to dress) my dragons, I like having a very minimalist look. One or two bits of apparel, maybe a skin or accent here or there, but the most bits I've ever had on a dragon is six pieces (the dragon in question is now a Gaoler).

Then, I might look at other user's lairs out of curiousity or when searching for inspiration, and I find that many people seem to just love piling apparel onto their dragons, in extreme cases to the point where I can't see the dragon underneath. I have nothing against this, just curious as to why people put so many things on their dragon?

So, main point of this post:
1. Do you prefer less or more apparel on dragons?
2. Why do you prefer it (because I do is a valid answer)?

Edit: Just changed the title to put 'cluttered' in quotes because I felt I was a little mean - a lot of dragons in this thread with lots of apparel look amazing!

It honestly depends on the dragon/the people's tastes.

Some dragons benefit from having more clothes and other dragons don't really need the help.

I would say that on average I'm not a fan of outfits that obscure or hide the dragon underneath.

It depends on the dragon for me, honestly. I have at least one dragon with three pieces of apparel and an accent, and I have at least one "Is that a dragon or a laundry basket?" dragon. Usually my dragons fall somewhere in the middle - I tend to aim for enough apparel to look luxurious without obscuring the dragon itself, since I put a lot of work into their genes and I want them to show.

Depends on the breed for me. Spirals are difficult for me to dress so I usually put minimal apparel on them (or maybe a lot, just smaller pieces).

But, yeah, most of my dragons are near-suffocating in apparel. I just like decorating pixels I guess.

I can appreciate little apparel as well as very cluttered looks. I guess it depends on what you're trying to do: do you want to throw together a bunch of apparel in a really cool way to create a unique look or do you want to simply enhance the dragons already existing beauty? Both works but in different ways

Partially cause I'm still newish and partially because I'm here for dragon capitalism and not dragon dress up, almost all the dragons in my lair are completely naked.

I appreciate how a bit of apparel looks and can certainly see why a lot of apparel can appeal or look fantastic. But it's not for me. My dragons like to feel the breeze

Excluding the fan dragons and other non archer dragons, everyone is wearing the same apparel concept in my lair and den. Less is more to me in general.
