This has been a problem for me for some time now, but lately it's approaching a critical level. My lair is simply overflowing with dragons at this point, and I honestly don't know what to do. It's getting harder and harder for me to let them go, but I don't have room for any more dragons or enough money to buy any more lair spaces, so my nests just stay unhatched for days or weeks on end.
So, anybody got any advice on what I should do?

Expand your hibernal den and move some to there?

If you can't bring yourself to exalt, expand your hibernal den.

Hmm, you could add and expand your hibernal den, and save up for more slots-
But honestly, I would not mind holding 5 dragons for you for a while so you have time to expand your lair

I can hold some dragons for you while you're figuring out how to clear it out! You should stuff some keepers in the hibden!

unfortunately your only real options are to either exalt or sell some that you're willing to let go, or expand your hibernal den :(
looks like arcane is gonna dom in 2nd place which'll give us 1% off lair expansions. it's not that much, but if you can save up some treasure within the next week, it'll help a little bit!

Like the others said: exalt or expand. There's not really another option. If you have people hold your dragons but you don't get rid of some, you're gonna end up filling the spaces they cleared with your next batches, and then you're gonna be full and they're gonna be stuck holding onto dragons that aren't theirs until an undefined future point that is possibly always. That's not a solution.

if you need to get rid of dragons but cant bear to see them exalted, theres forums where you post the dragons you need gone, and people can adopt them
but if you want to keep them, expand your hib den and stuff as many as you can into there, or sell a ton of stuff you arent using to try and expand your lair, if you have anything you arent using

Well, I'm a minimalist g1 lair with 80+ unused spaces and very few dragons, so maybe it isn't my place to give advice.
However, I used to be an overflowing lesser and mighty lair, so... My advice is to Marie Kondo it, but like, only a little. Instead of getting rid of dragons every once in awhile and only to switch for a new dragon, pick 75 or so dragons that you like best and find a way to get the others out of your lair.
With the remainder, you can put them onto an adopt thread, try to sell them, or maybe train up a double fodder trainer.
If you do exalt them trained up or sell them, you can use the funds to try and save to expand your lair more.
You can also try taking all apparel and skins off a dragon. Would you still really like that dragon without any of that? Could you move their lore to a different dragon?
I know getting moving or exalting dragons not intended for fodder isn't fun at the time, but it would pay off in that you could finally hatch your nests.
I had a similar problem for a long time and found that if the dragon is just there because they look kind of pretty, instead of for lore reasons, I don't regret exalting or selling one bit and usually forget in a matter of days. The only dragons I regret exalting would be the G1s I hatched as a newbie.

I just shoved a bunch of my dragons in my hibernal den for the same reason. I wasn't sure I wanted them anymore, but I was too sentimental about them and thought if I just straight out exalted everyone I'd regret like I have in the past. I'm still waiting on a potential account-bound restoration feature for older dragons. v~v
