Who else pronounces forum "vista" like "[i]visa[/i]" instead? Like the card brand [i]Visa[/i], like the [i]t[/i] is silent? XD
Gosh I don't know why, but it's been a very hard habit of mine to kick. At this point I've just embraced it, and mis-pronounce the forum vistas all the time. I only noticed I was pronouncing it weird, when I tried to show some forum vistas to my husband, and he said, "Isn't it pronounced [i]vista?[/i]"

I think about 90% of the site mispronounces Gaoler. It's supposed to be jailer. I myself have three syllables when I say it (gay-oh-lir)

I always say "GOWL-er" myself because "Jailer" just sounds dumb to me, and when I first read it, it read as "GOWL-er" to me, so that's how I say it.
Can't say I've ever said "Visa" over Vista though.

Vis-ta, Coh-ah-tl, best-E-airy gail-er. As far as I know, I'm only saying gaoler incorrectly but I blame staff for waiting an entire fricking year to tell us the pronunciation of it for those of us who had no idea it's a real world.
