To say I'm pleased with Banescales is an understatement. I personally think their design and genes are some of the best in the game, and their lore is exceptional as well since it ties in with the Bounty of the Elements excerpt! The Devs did amazing on this one
So now I'm hype for all the other future Ancients!
Personally I'm unbelievably excited for Tidedad's Ancients. I have a feeling that the Water Ancients will be last, and that Tidedad will come back with them. In Hear Today, Gone Tomorrow, there's a huge maelstrom and storm that suddenly appears; I'm thinking some kind of underwater activity that caused the current to change and make a huge whirlpool. Maybe a massive underwater battle? Vents? Tectonic movement?
Aside from the lore aspect [s]and dad possibly coming back :c[/s] I'm also REALLY excited to see their designs. Guardians are nice and all but...their design is NOT water friendly. Giant wings? When underwater? Thats like trying to swim with curtains attached to your arms and legs! I'm really hoping for a streamline looking figure, maybe the first breed to have no arms!!! Imagine a Leviathan-esque snake with massive fins and needle teeth; Now that is something that should be sealed at the bottom of the ocean!
What's your ideas for other future Ancient breeds? [emoji=nautilus size=1]

Waterfather please return to us we miss you
I'm very excited by these Banescales. They're very interesting, and making use of not being bound by the Modern breed standards with no front legs which is very exciting
In fact, that's what most excites me about Ancients: They can look completely different! I want to see extra limbs, multi heads, some funky bodies...
OH MAN ACTUALLY
Wingless dragons species designed like Chinese dragons? With lion faces and stuff?? FUZZY NOODLES???

I'm really interested to see the Arcane or Shadow ancient breeds. I can only wonder how amazing the other breeds will be when they are announced. Banescales definitely made me anticipate future ancient breeds much more.

Oooh, I misread that as legless, and now I want limbless fuzzy serpent Ancients.
We already have two species based on Asian dragons, though, so they'll probably do some other designs before adding a third.
Something like, perhaps, [item=Blue Dragon Seaslug] for a Water ancient? Serpentine with lots of frilly webbed fins.

Seafood
This ingenious creature devours and assimilates the biological defenses of its prey, making it a difficult target for larger aquatic predators.

Oh man, imagine the Nature Ancient having multiple heads, but instead of traditional 'heads' they're sprouts!! I love the idea of multiple heads xox
@BreezingWinds
And I agree! To me the Gaolers weren't that interesting, but with this much effort put into the Banes? I'm super excited.
@Astariall
That's what I was thinking; Spiny sea serpent, more like a snake than a Chinese Lung or something of that nature. Though it would work lore-wise since Eastern dragons tend to be prophetic and wise...but the typical fur on a lung wouldnt fit for an underwater environment.

Accents are equippable items that can be worn like a coat of paint on top of the skin of your dragon. The look of the accent will not be passed onto offspring and may be unequipped at any time. (Designed by SCB.)

Same! There's so many possibilities, and the fact Tidedad is gone just makes the Water Ancients all the more mysterious, especially if they happen to be the cause

Tentacles? Hmmm. I adore octopi, but I'm not sure how... oh wait, a ring of tentacles around the head like a Chinese dragon's mane! I'm up for that.
