Honestly maybe it’s just that a lot of old familiar names seem to be innactive, but it seems like the forums and tumblr are a lot quieter to me? I haven’t been on in about two years but I swear tumblr used to be thriving and everyone interacted all the time. Now it just seems pretty slow. Is it just me? I’m always up for making new friends but that’s a bit hard when friends seem....scarce?

Honestly maybe it’s just that a lot of old familiar names seem to be innactive, but it seems like the forums and tumblr are a lot quieter to me? I haven’t been on in about two years but I swear tumblr used to be thriving and everyone interacted all the time. Now it just seems pretty slow. Is it just me? I’m always up for making new friends but that’s a bit hard when friends seem....scarce?
i mean i feel like everyone is busy right now around this time and many grew out of it, I don’t know. Most of my friends list is inactive ahah

It's weird that you say it right now, when the forums are more lively than they've been in months. Topics are positively flying by with banescale hype compared to usual.
Otherwise, yeah stuff is slower. Maybe people going to Discord (a communication platform) is a bit to blame, but I think it's also there is only so much to talk about certain topics. The site isn't new after all.
Edit: I forgot, there was also the huge blow-up with Tumblr purging content and accounts. That directly led to people leaving Tumblr.

even a few years ago i had a lot of friends who would play on their school chromebooks back in sixth grade. Even though it got unblocked on chromebooks in highschool, nobody's interested anymore. I wonder what it would've been like if it had never been blocked, practically the whole grade was playing.

i think tumblr is falling from grace, and then also theres a lot of discords so instant messaging takes a good portion of interaction between players.

It's because of discord. I've see so many discord channels under the sun for flight rising, it's ridiculous.

Everyone's moved to Discord instead of forums. So instead of being able to talk about things over hours or even days, you need to be there instantly or miss the conversation. It's rather sad.

Ah yeah I can definitely see it being slower with the holidays, but I also agree that discord would have a lot to do with it. It's a shame that tumblr has alienated a lot of it's user base, I really enjoy the discussions in the tumblr format. I don't mind chat services, but it's also not wrong to say you miss out on a lot of things when you can't be on there all the time.
