Ahoj!

I just checked on the database entry for Eliminate.
A nice person in the comments summed up how many enemies per venue can drop it gathered from the info in the Acquired from section. And the first 4 venues have a nice and shiny 0. Yes 0, that means none!

That makes me wonder .. can it drop in the first 4 venues or not? So far it was said it can drop in every venue (now that it was finally added to the Mire after YEARS).
I don't know if it was officially said or people knew it as "common knowledge".

It does make a bit sense since everyone would grind the hell out of TF then ... but still?

I don't have a screenshot to proof it but I know someone who got an Eliminate from Woodland Path 4 months ago. The venue drops were tweaked in November (and added it to Mire)
Does this mean it was taken from the venues?

Or is the database just inaccurate in that aspect?
Your thoughts now °L°

I 100% have gotten an eliminate from the woodland path before! I don't have a screenshot though... I hope it wasn't removed because I usually grind there for rare drops :P

Considering that we KNOW that the venues where elim can drop have changed recently (see: Mire), it's most likely that when they changed how loot drops they also changed where elim drops and the database was written to reflect CURRENT loot tables, not historical ones.

I’ve definitely gotten Eliminates from Woodland Path, Scorched Forest, and the Sandswept Delta- there’s even a post going around somewhere mentioning that the Delta is the best place to grind for Eliminates. :| Perhaps drops were updated?

That exactly ... because many people grind specifically in some of the lower venues for a while now to get those sweet rare drops o.o
We got what we wished for, Elim in Mire, but lost it in the first 4 venues :'c

It was mentioned in the database update that the drop pools were changed.

While we were developing the Game Database we also took the opportunity to streamline the backend systems that manage Coliseum loot drops to vastly improve quality of life for our content creation team. In the vast majority of cases, loot items that were formerly assigned to drop on a unique basis per monster have been modified to drop more generally across a wider array of enemies based parameters like their level, element, or stage. This significantly improves the ongoing Coliseum content development process for our team.

For example, rather than X Monster drops an item, a process our content creators had to input manually for each item every time a new enemy was created, we can now utilize our tools to tell the system that All monsters in Volcanic Vents drop X item.

That being said, here are some updates we made to loot drops that make them more universal and predictable:

  • Battle Stone items drop based on the enemy's element and level.
  • Dragon Eggs and runestones all drop from their corresponding elements.
  • Stage-exclusive items such as apparel and forum vistas now utilize the above approach.
  • Health potions have a chance to drop from all enemies, and the size of the health potion is based on the stage the monster is found in.

Generally speaking, this leads to more non-unique items being available in more places. Items unique to monsters (such as specific types of food or associated familiars) will be unchanged.

(NOTE: Due to the above changes, our existing Encyclopedia pages for each Coliseum stage are out of date, as they were based on items being dropped by specific monsters rather than specific conditions. The information shown in the Game Database "Acquired by" tab should be the most accurate reflection of what each monster has the capability of dropping.)
Up until then, which is over a month ago since drop pools were changed, no word got out What exactly had changed. The addition of Elim to the Mire was found out by chance (by people grinding that venue excessively anyway).

So much lost profit q.q

And since its a new tool we could've expected a ton of errors with nearly 8k items.
