it is day 3. i have not gotten a single strange chest from gathering. my life is burning to smithereens and is being torn apart
pray i get some strange chests day 4..

Yup yup chests are rare from gathering. Coli, Baldwin and Swipp are the ways to go :D

Maybe it's your scavenging level? I've been averaging two strange chests a day, and today RNG decided to bless me and dump four chests and an unhatched wind egg into my lap.

@Wonderlast both scavenging and digging are lvl 36 for me tho

Huh that's weird, my scavenging's level 40. It's probably RNG. Time to dust off the old pentagram and sacrifice a goat, RNG's being fickle again.

Oh! I thought I was the only one. I only got 1 from gathering these past three days and I even thought there was something wrong with the drop rate... But it was probably intentional.

Yeah, I'm barely getting any chests from gathering this year, when last year I would usually get a decent amount. Most of my chests are coming from Coli, Baldwin, and Swipp (when he bothers to have the trade up [emoji=guardian deadpan size=1]).
