Is it just me, or is the drop rate for the Strange Chests today and yesterday been lowered? In two hours of the coliseum I only got one or two, I haven't got any from gathering either, or is this just me?
I really want to open up strange chests and hopefully get more eggs so I can hatch them on my upcoming birthday, but the rng gods seem to be against me

Maybe a little bit. The first couple of days I got chest drops like crazy while I trained fodder. Then it seemed I had a couple of bad days where it was way lower. Then it seemed to go back up again, not as good as it was at first but much better than it had been those bad days. It seems alright for me yet, ive been getting about 1 per dragon that I trained up to level 7 to exalt. Though ive only been casually leveling right now.

god, it's been low all holiday. i've never been compelled not to grind before, but i suppose there's a first for everything. shame, too, because i dearly love notn

Just luck. I'm running basically the same average as I have been all week. Sometimes you get 2 chests in an hour, sometimes you get three in 5 battles. That's kinda how randomness works.
Did you move venues? There's major differences in drop rates per venue.

I usually refresh the page in Golem's Workshop if the enemies arent notn, and that saves me time and gives me a larger and faster chance of chests.

The places I used to hang out, ie the Scorched Forest, have been less lucrative this year. However, the Volcanic Vents has been providing chests at the rate I'm used to, so I think it may be time to move to a new venue!
