But I’m still amazing at how much easier it is to keep up my food stores now that I don’t have most my lair pigging out on meat. Had the fun misfortune of finding out even more of my dragons eat Insects than Meat so my “feed in order” plan wasn’t gonna be convenient.
Eventually though I figured the order to have as little taken from the Meat and Seafood as I can (because I hoard a lot of the Meat items because they’re cute).

I still haven't used it yet and probably should... since I could then keep more than zero of everything until I need it.
Theoretically it would be Insects, Fish, Plants and Meat... since I have loads of the first three vaulted from all the Mire grinding for years.

I had the opposite problem - I had way too much meat because almost my entire lair will eat only insects if I give them the chance! Now I feed meat, then seafood, then plants, then insects. Still a couple hundred insect points a day, but much easier to maintain!

Seafood (I have so much more than I need aaa), Plants, Meat, Insects. Although it changes under certain circumstances.
