Sometimes I just go through the ancestors of my Dragons and land in long forgotten lairs that no one cares for anymore. Seeing all the dragons with depleted energy makes me kinda sad for some reason.
All those poor dragons are hungry and I want to feed them!
Abandoned lairs from way back in 2013 or so are also like time capsules to me for some reason.

It's really depressing to see a gorgeous dragon featured on the 'random dragon' on the homepage, only to click on them and see it's just sitting in a dead lair. :/ I wish I could adopt them. T_T

i've been here since 2014, and most of my gen 2+s have parents that are either a) exalted or b) in inactive lairs. the ones with at least 1 active parent are newer gains
same goes for siblings, except even more likely to be exalted since, well, i don't exactly buy the pricier dragons...
it can be a little depressing sometimes, but it can also serve as a testament to how long those dragons have been around
edit: i just thought of something worse than parents in abandoned lairs: kids in abandoned lairs. i have one old dragon who had two kids in a dead lair (the third and the dragon she had them with are exalted so no hope there) and now i wish i had went ahead and snagged them too so they can be together ;_;

I feel this deeply,,
I’ve had a hiatus or two where I didn’t think I’d ever come back, so part of me hopes those who’ve long since abandoned their accounts will come back online some day and those dragons shall thrive again

I agree it's kind of sad to see so many abandoned dragons. Maybe it's because I get really attached to my own dragons and I can see potential for a lot of those starving dragons.

At some point in the past I abandoned my Dragons too but I'm back for over a year now and don’t think I'll ever stop playing again.
