I've been on this game for nearly four years and I still don't really get the difference between digging and scavenging, other than scavenging sometimes gets you eggs. Which do you do more often? Have you maxed out one or the other, or both? I've only managed to max out digging lol

digging gives you treasure chests and small openables that often give treasure also, especially useful in festivals or notn. scavenging gives you eggs and some other random stuff. im level 37 in digging (fest chests) and 35 in scavenging, but the higher your level the lower the chance of getting eggs.

im not focusing on them so much anymore as i want to get the other four up to level 30! i dont dig unless i need festival stuff, and i dont scavenge because i can get eggs from fodder training in the coli.

scavenging can yield eggs, digging can yield fest chests during fests! ...otherwise i'm kinda in your place, lol (i think digging yields more organics and scavenging yields more trinkets?)

i've maxed out both myself! i'm working on maxing out everything, only got fishing and foraging left. digging was maxed early on, scavenging i managed to max before achievements went away!

Scavenging is the only skill that's not maxed out, so I do that a lot recently, just to have them all on lv40
But scavenging never gives me anything interesting so idk what it's good for

I've only been scavenging because I have been told that can give me eggs, and that they are fairly common drops when you have a low level... But I yet have to find a single egg //sosad

I'm trying to level my scavenging so I can brew pin/trail

I ...did not realize you could get fest chests from digging. I'm gonna start doing that now.

Yep! Ordinarily I just keep on leveling whatever I'm leveling during festivals, just changing the element. Now I know to *dig* specifically.

Digging:

• Festival Chests.
• Chance to get Rusted, Iron, and even Gilded Chests. With Rusted, you can trade them with Swipp with Gold to get Gilded Chests.

Scavenging:

• Eggs, of course.
• Runestones, which are needed for HD.

If I'm not looking for anything in particular I'll scavenge for that slim chance of an egg or Runestone. Someday I'll have it maxed and I suppose I can start levelling the other ones lol. I get more than enough food from the coli, get plemty of chests from familiars, so I'm happy waiting for that once-every-six-months egg.
