This is a question that intreagues me and has me thinking a lot lately.
Games like FR provide a very cool and quite dynamic community, and quite a few of us can get very invested in it.
However, it is a hobby that is perhaps not as conventionally approved as for example, a sport or art or whatever. Therefore I suspect that people are less likely to share it, even as it might take up a large part of their life.
So I am asking you, would you tell anyone you know in real life about FLight Rising? Or if you already have, who is it/how do you interact about it?
My parents low-key know a bit about me playing, but I will especially discuss it with my little brothers sometimes because one's a game development student and the other is very interested in economics, so we talk AH economics a little bit every now and then :P And my bf knows about FR and is very curious about it and always wants to see what I am up to. And then asks himself 'how do you enjoy the coliseum? it's boring' haha. He really likes Faes though xD

I guess it depends on the person I'm talking to. If they're the kind of nerdy type that probably liked websites like neopets and things growing up, I wouldn't mind sharing it with them.
In one of my college classes senior year, I used to sit all the way in the back of the room. As a benefit (or maybe a curse) I could see what people were doing instead of taking notes on their laptop. Maybe it's because I was an art major, but I got to know a good handful of people that played flight rising during a lecture. It made it a lot easier for me to walk up and exchange usernames with them, and they were usually surprised/excited that someone irl played it too. So I guess there's that lol

I have told quite a few rl people about flightrising, and in fact, one of my friends joined because I told them about it.
It's something I'm passionate about, so I'm not afraid to talk about it as a hobby.

I tell everyone that will listen ... most just kinda shrug but I got a few to join .. none as active as me but ya. My whole family knows and usually I get how is that dragon thing you play going. Actually everyone in my life know, but it could be that I am older and I do not see this is something to be shy about .... I listen to their stories of going out drinking .. they can listen to my NoTN drops..hehe.

I have had quite a few friends join after I told them. Not all of them still play, but they did try it out.
My parents do know about FR, however, my family is MUCH more game oriented than most people their age. My dad is currently really enjoying StoneHearth, for example.
Not sure if they all realize how long and how much I've played FR, but many know about it.

I've told some people about it, I play FR in public places anyways so most people around me know about it. Some people think it is a strange hobby, but I have convinced a few IRL friends to join. Most have quit, but a few of them are still active!
I probably wouldn't tell my parents though, since they would probably have multiple heart attacks if they read my lore or even looked at some of my dragons...

i used to show off my dragons to one of my irl friends for a while, and it convinced them to join. theyre not that active but they log on every so often! someone did the same for me and thats how i found the site, too. some of my family members know about the game aswell, but they're not the sort of people who enjoy or have time for games, so they just ask me how my dragon game is going.
i probably would tell more people about it if given the chance but im not very good with conversation so probably not, more likely ill tell my online friends about it instead.

I'm open with my sisters/other family about FR but I would never in my life dare tell anyone else. I've already had an awful experience with it. I probably wouldn't even feel comfortable talking to someone about FR even if I knew they also had an account. It's kinda sad too because I love this site and have pretty much all through college. Oh well, I have my sisters to gush over it with. [emoji=coatl love size=2]

Depends on the person. If I know them well, yeah! I'll ramble and show my pixel dragons to them. I used to be a "closet fan" when it comes to this game, but not anymore.
My parents know that I play this, and I commonly show my dragons to them.

Depends. I certainly have told others about it in passing. My husband definitely knows about it, and supports that I play it and has given me quite the project to work on even though he has no interest in playing himself. Lol
Others received responses of ‘dragon breeding game’ whenever they’ve asked me what I’m doing. (Which is usually met with ‘oh ok’ and they go about their business lol) But my family are already fairly nerdy.
It’s not something I’d mention to just any person though, unless they brought it up first.
