I was browsing the Auction House for special-eyed banescales... because reasons... and scrying up the prettier ones. I just have to keep tempting myself, don't I? That one has amazing colors, that one would be good but for the tert, that one... that one looks familiar... wait.
Yup. It was my second Galore hatch. The one that I sold because I don't like earth eyes. The one that I would periodically check on to see if he'd been gened yet.
I think I literally said, "But that's mine!" out loud. I mean, obviously he hasn't been mine since shortly after his birth, but some irrational part of me still thinks of him as mine. And is indignant on his behalf that he's being yeeted, too. And is trying to convince me that if I sold him for 140g and he's up for 50g, I could buy him back and still have made a profit.
The whole thing is just weird for me. Anyone else have something like this happen to them?

not on the AH, but sometimes i look through my old threads and remember old dragons after seeing them. for example, this boy used to be my lightning rep (fae, cherub/stripes/firefly) and now he's all gened up and it's nice seeing him in a loving lair c:

Not quite the sentiment you're speaking of, but yeah. Normally I don't care what happens to g1s after I sell them, but someone helped someone block evade me and they snapped up a g1 from a hatch of mine. It kind of made me a little upset. I saw it on the AH from another seller and impulse bought it back for 50g less than what I sold it for. Profit!

A week or so ago I noticed that one of my bane hatches that I sold was back up on the AH for 100g more than what I sold them for. I was like ‘ha good luck’ , after the initial tiny salt of remembering that it was one that I liked and would’ve been ok keeping if it didn’t sell. Lol
But otherwise no not really. Most of what I breed are fodder, and thus are yeeted shortly after. I do see a couple kids of kids I’ve sold from time to time, that’s always fun.

Did not end up buying her. Wouldn't really have a use for her, after all, but I was definitely tempted to reunite the family.
