What surprise me is that this ranking is pretty different from the breeds I actually like the most. Faes, Spirals, and Skydancers are my favorite, but the latter two are fairly uncommon. I don't really like female Imperials, yet I have four of them.
I think the reason for this is that I get attached to dragons based mainly on lore potential, or color/gene aesthetic, and I rarely change the breed of dragons I already have. I feel particularly bad changing dragons away from being imperials, since I can't change them back, hence why I have so many.

I don’t really know what you are implying as “lair breakdown” but I used to have a major pearlcatcher crisis just because of one family line.

MidnightFall I just meant breakdown like like an account of how many of each breed, but keeping certain dragon's kids definitely helps rack up a lot of one breed. 3 of my Fae and 2 of my imperials are the kids of other dragons in my clan.

I may have a favorite. Technically, Faes are my second favorite, but I only buy ones I think are [i]stunning[/i]. And, I have a pack of Mirrors in my lore, so that's probably a bit skewed...

Guardians are not a surprise, they're nice meaty dragons with big wings and the patterns show easily on the females. Imperials are good for breeding projects, and I like the female's pose even if they're not as good to show off apparel. Nocturnes I blame NotN for, breed-changing them isn't always worth it.

Snappers are tough to work with, I don't like how certain genes affect Mirrors' heads, Bogsneaks I haven't bothered to get more of, really, and Banescales I'll gladly get more once they're a little less new (though I'm not too fond of the males' pose, their neck looks so... bare)
