Do you usually do general grinding or fodder leveling, or a mix of both? I did general grinding for a while in a 24 hours in 1 venue challenge, selling most of the stuff at the end, but it took a while and I found that exalting is usually more profitable and reliable for me. I always do general grinding during fests, though.

Training for exaltation is also 'stuff' grinding - you get large amounts of food to sell while training your dergs, plus the occasional egg and eliminate. The only time non-experience venues truly have a leg up on exaltation is when a fest is going on, or when a venue has an extremely valuable Baldwin or Swipp material (examples being umbral yarn, dried lilium petals, redfin belts, fanned cockroaches... or even ones that are no longer valuable like shimmering cloth and amber algae.)
I generally do a mix of general and fodder grinding throughout the month, pure fodder grinding when there's a push or raffle going on, and then pure general grinding in fest weeks.
(Unrelatedly, I love your autumnal aesthetic. Very soothing.)

Fodder training unless I just want to chill in like, the Training Fields. General grinding for festivals though as well.

I think some pebbles like to do both, probably in hardcore amounts aha.
I personally prefer exalt training because I don't spend large amounts of time in the coli. If I did (like was watching a video mindlessly), I probably would grind for stuff.
Another issue is that idk what I can safely hoardsell versus put on the AH...so I hadn't moved onto that zzz.

I’ve done both, but I typically do exalt training, since that way money is guaranteed. When I grind, there’s only a small chance I will get something that will sell for a lot.

I only grind in nonleveling venues for swipp items or during festivals /notn. I don't know about profitability, but my attention wavers if I don't have a goal of chests/levels/items. I always have a coli team in training so I can do lower venues.
If I'm grinding for stuff, I use a two trainer team. If I'm focusing on speed exalting for 'quick' treasure, I'll do it in the mire or the ruins with a single trainer. Then I list everything. I almost never hoardsell when I'm actively playing.

TBH, I have a hard time touching the coli unless I have a goal in mind, so I typically only go in there when I need to train some fodder. I've started paying attention to the hibernal den, so I have been grinding a bit more than usual to get some of those items. But typically it's fodder or no coli for me, lol.

Exalting mostly, but since Hib Den tasks came out, working my way through the venues for those items rather than buying them. Having to get two copies of a bunch of familiars (because I also collect familiars and don't want to lose my only one) is an exercise in frustration.

I grind, because I want all the familiars and because the best exaulting venues are not particularly insect heavy. I like to have lots of food, and my lair is over 1/2 faes so unless I only want to insect catch, everyday, forever, I need to spend some time in nice insecty venues.

Leveling and exalting is always more profitable. I try to do it during fests if I can as well, but that only works if the ideal venue is of higher level. I usually do the first half of a fest week grinding in the ideal venue, then switch to leveling for the second half of the week in one of the higher level venues.
