Recently I've been debating making my lair full gen 1s ( outside of fan dragons I've made ). I'll be honest, it's less for money & more because I like to track the lineage of my dragons. Idk why that specifically interests me other than I just think it's fun & have this underlining hope that dragon offspring from my lair will one day have a whole bunch of great grand dragons.
Do you guys have certain reasons why you do gen 1 lairs? What are they if you do? I'm really interested & curious to know!

I don't want to have uncontrollable factors for my lore dragons, or upset anyone, collecting g1s is the only way.
Also invest in g1s is much more fun, spending so much time and effort makes me attached to them more.

i like making characters so the fact they have no ties to ANYONE is A++

I like having all gen ones because what everyone else sees is something you did all yourself if you buy triple basics. It makes you think about a dragon before you buy it.
I feel like if you have gen ones that you gene and dress, you’ve created this sentimental piece of the game. I can’t find joy like that in regular dragons you buy of the AH.
It’s rather hard for me to put to words but I recommend a gen one lair. Though while starting out, if you’re going for an aesthetic, make sure you have plenty of money on hand and a picky eye.

i like it because u cant breed for them, the element of luck is addicting. they also retain more value than any other dragon does when u invest in them.
I LOVE my G1s. The satisfaction of finishing one is the best thing. And I like the challenge of collecting G1s that match my specific aesthetic (especially now since I only have Nature element G1s, which makes it doubly hard and doubly rewarding). And being able to gene a dragon however you like is fun - I know you can technically do that with any dragon, but starting from scratch with a G1 just makes it better somehow. Also I just kinda like feeling fancy and prosperous in this one tiny area of my life, aha. So maybe it's a little bit to "show off" - like hey, I've got all these cool fancy dragons that I worked really hard for and saved up for and they're mine and I love them! Plus G1s are usually really unique because of the whole random colours thing. You find them in all sorts of weird combinations you wouldn't usually find otherwise!
In summary: I LOVE G1s! :D
