The first post of it (Site Rules) has been properly made, which required a lot of hard work, but I managed to pull it off. Next will be about Dragons, then Mechanics, etc. and etc. ----- About in the time I was preparing to go sleepy, I thought about something. Something that was important. [i]"You know, there aren't a lot of guides specifically meant for new players, and if there are any, they're pretty outdated."[/i] [b]AND SO THAT'S THE TOPIC OF THIS POST.[/b] I'm thinking about making a guide for newbies. It would include the usual stuff (Fairgrounds, dragons...) to more expert-crafted tips (What items to save, a bit of coding help...). Heck, about coding, it can range from the usual post-coding (Text modification, links...) to using this site's widgets - especially Game Database and dragon linking. This idea is in the planning stages, so thoughts about graphical design and post formatting - aka how many posts should I make - are within the atmosphere. (Feeding, etc.) [*] Have explanations for basic terms (plus link to a guide what explains about more of 'em). Most notably terms used for forums - such as claim and res [*] Things about Dominance (what it is, how it works, terms, etc.) [*] Price ranges of AH dragons [*] Guides, guides, and more guides - especially for the Coliseum and dragon breeding [*] G1 stuff (Valuability, etc.) [*] Flight Festivals, their currency, when they take place [*] Micro-holidays, and NoTN [*] Baldwin, and what mats what creates [*] Flight Rising official lore, plus notable events (Naomi, etc.) [*] Difference between Ancients and Moderns [*] Difference between Marketplace and Auction House. Through Auction House, the three different auction ways are good to know [*] Pinging, and pinglists [*] Reminder that hatchlings should be named before exalted. [*] Converting food, also about the selective feeding thing [*] Informing that some things are really rare - boss-Fams, eggs and certain food, etc. [*] Liking dragons via Facebook [*] Treasure to Gem/Gem to Treasure ratio [*] Exalting, how it's done, and why it's a good source for money [*] Progen + regular dragon restoration from exaltation [/LIST]

Nice! You might also want to check if anything shows up in the tutorial when you make your account, just so you don't go over things twice. And as an idea for a future question, maybe include some common acronyms like PWYW and LAH. I remember being really confused about that when I joined.

Of course, I would have to tell about the process of the e-mail activation through words since multi-accounting is a no-no. Then the terms, yep, gonna include those [emoji=tundra winking size=1] EDIT: OH THE TUTORIAL, OOP-

One thing I was super confused about when I joined was dominance-you should definitely get an expert (unless you are one ofc) to add in acronyms, terms, and what dom is and its benefits. Don't forget exaltation system/payouts!

Also please explain that the 150 treasure or whatever they start with can't buy anything of use. I've seen newbies looking for pretty dragons with only a handful of coin... sad.

Also include links to other helpful guides such as coli drops and dragon breeding if you don't feel like writing all that.

Include how valuable G1s can be and that if you want to sell it, don't breed it. My friend almost made this mistake. "Ooh, if I get that pretty G1 imma sell it! But first I'd probably breed it-" *cue me screaming*
Same for boss fams and special ID dergs, it hurts to miss out on money

Include a list of all Flight Festivals and what month they take place, so they can prepare accordingly. And of course a list of Baldwin mats and which item gives ya what. Took me too long to figure this out.

Explain what "claim" and "res" posts are, as this was another thing I took ages to understand for some reason hey I can't be the only one out there

Maybe tell them about FRs history and modern gods/demigods? Idk they could get confused about hype for a certain user or like, Naomi for instance.

Difference between ancients/modern breeds and their respective genes. Would help if they knew the difference between the MP and the AH, with the later usually being lower in price.
