TOPIC | Tips for getting back into FR?
Uhhhh haven't touched this game in awhile, except to feed my dragons once in a while.

I really do want to stay on here, but my interest is waning. I just... don't really have anything to do on here anymore?

Any tips to stay motivated? This has been the only browser game I've stayed on for so long, and I do enjoy it, I've just lost motivation.

I moved into geneing G1s, and randomly gifting people items from their wish lists. It's a balance of giving back and having a reason to stay.

It's natural for passions to wax and wane, imo. You can only devote so much active interest in so many things at a time, and breaks from games can be quite healthy sometimes! Don't be afraid to play something else for a while if you're feeling a little burned out. But if you want to stay engaged, I think getting involved with the community helps a lot, and finding longterm projects. I'm the kind of person who doesn't have fun in a game unless I have a lot of busywork and a project or goal to actively work towards, but I understand that a lot of people hate that kind of thing lol [emoji=coatl laughing size=1] Finding people to chat with does help a lot though, whether it's friendly discourse in the Suggestions forums, answering questions from newbies, getting involved with dom or Flight-specific endeavors, roleplaying, or just sharing memes on Discord! I mean, I took a super long break and only came back because my best friend started talking about FR again- it sparked a newfound interest, and now I have fun here everyday [emoji=rainbow star 2 size=1]

A pixel adoptable of an Aqua/Rose Skydancer from Wind flight. She is wearing pearly jewellery and pink arm silks.
A few ideas:
  • Re-examine why you enjoy the game. Maybe you can build off of the parts of the game you enjoy. Or explore parts of the game you left by the wayside before.
  • For a while, only go onto FR only to feed dragons and visit Pinkerton. Wait until your interest spontaneously returns. (I did this for a year before suddenly becoming interested again.)
  • Try a quest or a challenge.
  • Set up a project related to FR (art, lore, etc.)
  • Wander around the forums for ideas to become interested again.
  • Do a lair purge. Maybe decide by random number generator who stays and who goes. Then create a lore story. (You can also throw the ones you decide you want to keep anyway in the hibernal den.)

I hope that helps!
