I've entirely lost currency and market intuition. How did I get 764 gems? How long did it take to acquire those? I have no idea. Should I be trying to quell that urge to spend every last dime I have on the new shiny skins I'm seeing? Probably. Am I going to? Almost definitely not.

Welcome back! The biggest advice I can give, read back through the Announcements for the new things released, and since you're coming back after so long, be watchful of what you price anything you sell for. Your old festival familiars/apparel, and any particularly old dragons you've got could be worth a lot if you wanted to sell them.

Wow, and I thought three years was a long hiatus! Welcome back! I hope you had some items back from 2014-15, because a lot of those are going to be worth l o o o t s of dough now.
A couple heads up - there are different eye types now, some of which can only appear when a dragon is first generated and some which can be applied like genes! And some of the new breeds are Ancient breeds, which are basically FR's version of unconverted neopets; they can't wear apparel and can't breed with modern breeds. But in return, they don't have to adhere to the four-legs-two-wings standard and have some pretty crazy line-breaking terts.
