I've been wanting to downsize the amount of dragons in my lair. There's quite a lot of permas that I just can't let go of and then there are those dragons that I don't quite love but just so used to seeing them in my lair. I feel like everything I decide to sell or exalt a dragon in my lair, I end up not wanting to lose them. How do you guys usually decide who stays and who goes in your lair?

im kidding im kidding, but i usually decide if they serve me at all. like, i cant sell my lvl 25 team, but i can live with exalting a dragon that has a good apparel+color combo but no realistic use.

If you have room, shove the dragons you are ambivalent about in the hibernal den, if you don't miss seeing them regularly them after a couple of weeks, exalt or sell them, if you miss them keep them.

Look at a dragon and ask yourself "Do I love this dragon?" and/or "Does this dragon bring me joy?"
If the answer is yes: Keep
If the answer is no: Yeet

In my case, being extremely picky from the get-go seems to work. In all seriousness, though, I've heard of a method which - although I've never tried myself - may work: separate the dragons you feel a sort of attachment to into a single tab, undress them, and keep them there for a week or two. Once that timeframe is up, see if you still feel the same as you did at the beginning about those particular dragons. If you don't or do, then go about dealing with the dragons as you see fit.

Haha he was for sure an impulse buy. That's how I try to do it as well but I always try to match colors and outfits.

Yeah, I know how it is. Fortunately or unfortunately for me, most of my permas are either gen1s or completed projects/dragons I've had for a long time that I've either re-gened or still love. I get really sentimentally attached to my dragons, but I've been really weeding out the ones that I don't actually care the most about.
Mostly because I'm currently on a quest to get all my permas to level 25, and sometimes I'll get to a dragon and be hesitant to level them up, because "Do I really want to pour this much effort into a dragon I don't adore?" and that's my cue to Y E E T them to the Windsinger :)
So that's been really helpful for getting rid of dragons, although it's a slow process haha.
Anyway, I wish you luck in your endeavor!
